James was recommended to us a few years ago. We have never had a bad experience with this man. He is helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. We highly recommend him as well.

I had a few pieces of jewelry... i wanted to get rid of. I walked into a few different places I felt that it wasn't the right fit...I found a place close to home the owner James was very friendly, easy to talk to ... My sister & I met James the owner and felt he was different then the other ones. James had a different business approach? James looked and gave us his option of the jewelry. priced it right in front of us. We both were happy with the offer and also felt very comfortable.James was straight forward and honest.We would highly recommend his Coin & StampLocation.We still go by there even for advice on something, and just say hi to him.I would recommend his business to my friends, James has been in business, for over 25 years.

Were do I start? As an avid coin collector, I thought I would check this place out. Mind you I'm not an expert on this stuff hence why I went to a shop instead of going online because I can get help and talk to a live human being.Let's just say I did not receive the tiniest ounce of customer service from the owner apart from a hello and an odd glance when I strolled in. He was on his computer the whole time I was in probably playing games. He claimed I was just wasting his time... but how can I waste his time when he is playing on his computer instead of interacting with customers?How can you run a business with absolutely no care for your customers? I'm not asking for the world but at the very least I should feel welcome in the store and the owner should be approachable if I have any questions. I originally thought he was biased against certain people but after reading the reviews, he just has some issues and doesn't want business. I, for sure, will never ever step foot into that store.

this was my first time in the shop and I went in because I was working in the area. Absolutely great shop, well organized and fair prices. James (the owner) was welcoming but also let me browse, still i felt i could ask questions and he was very helpful. I will absolutely return!

Met the owner, straight guy, no fuss, will give a straight answer, and straight money. He Prefer to buy gold, silver metals, old coins, silver and gold too... :)

I have been dealing with this coin store and James, the owner for many years. I have bought and sold coins, banknotes and jewelry. I am always satisfied that the prices are fair and very competitive with the marketplace.James is not trying to take advantage of someones lack of knowledge.

I recently inherited some coins and jewellery from my family. As I am not a coin collector and don't need anymore jewellery I decided to keep a few sentimential pieces and sell the rest. After visiting 2 of the biggest 'TV buyers' and not being impressed with their attitudes, prices and frankly their store environments, a friend told me about Central Stamp and Coin on Dundas St. The owner was very welcoming and treated myself and my heirlooms with respect. I wasn't surprised when he also paid me more money than I was quoted at the previous locations. I am recommending Central Stamp and Coin to my family and friends. Definately worth the visit.

Very nice guy works there.Easy going atmosphere.very fair with prices that he paid me for scrap silver .I highly recommend this place if you need to sell some gold,silver scrap or coins . Nothing like those pawn shops that know your hurting for money and take advantage of that situation.,.They also sell coins and silver bars.
