ICBC Driver Licensing

The signs inside were a bit confusing. But the person one first encounters was friendly and efficient. She gave me a number. I was called maybe only 10 min late. The fellow giving me my new license was also upbeat, friendly, and efficient.I quickly got what what I needed, Including a new photo.

I would like to share the terrible experience my mom had with the examiner Mansoor today. My mother is a new immigrant who is 68 years old and has minimal English proficiency. During her past road tests, I had been helping her with translation during the safety check. However, after Mansoor realized my mom's level of English proficiency, he became annoyed and said, No translation

My first time coming to this location. Parking was plentiful. My appointment was in the AM hours. So IDK if it gets busier later on or not. The staff were very helpful and friendly! Which made my experience even more positive. Would definitely recommend this location to anyone on the North Shore that needs driving license renewal’s and/or BCID services!

Lack of communication and consistency between the front desk service and phone. Called to book a road test twice and both representatives I spoke to said I was able to book early due to having completed GLP (6 months off the N). However, when I go to check into my test, the representative at the desk turned me away saying I couldn’t take the test till the end of summer due to an insurance claim. This would have been fine had either one of the phone representatives mentioned this months ago when I called, but no, I was informed this on the day of my exam. I don’t think ICBC understands the time and energy it takes to call to book an exam, practice and prepare. Horrible experience.

I got there 30min before my appointment time for my knowledge test. The front desk person asked me to wait until 10min before my appointment for her to check me in, so I did. Then, I had my checkin 10min before my appointment and needed to wait for over an hour to be called to the test. It’s a huge disrespect with people’s time.

I highly advise you stay away from this location. ICBC in general is a shameful corporation with too much power that wouldn't allow other insurance companies to run out here. The instructors are so rude and condescending. If they like you they let you pass and if you don't like you they make you fail even if they have to lie. There is a reason they don't allow cameras in the car. The manager was also rude and condescending and he kept cutting off while talking. Genuinely can't wait for the day they are taken down!

I experience has been excellent with this ICBC centre. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The wait time for me at least have been minimal, make sure you book your appointment before hand. My examiner was supper nice, explained me everything in detail and answered my queries precisely. ICBC driving test examiners tenets are very clear safety first and make BC a safe place to drive.

I had the most amazing experience Friday I went to do my class 5 and I was so nervous but confident as I had been driving for 11 years with my N I had avoided getting my class 5 due to nerves but my instructor Keri was amazing she was professional and curtious and i felt very comfortable with her!! The office was very efficient and friendly. I highly recommend this ICBC location!!!

Daniel is such an amazing and friendly staff member. Usually it is a very daunting experience to go to ICBC but Daniel made me feel so comfortable and at ease. He was so nice for the entire process while I was there and I really appreciated his calm nature. Thanks Daniel

My examiner(Mr. Masod) was rude and intimidating. I asked him to repeat his instructions regarding a turn at an intersection and he refused. He then threatened to end the test and fail me if i asked him to repeat any of his instructions again.Driving tests are inherently stressful and it is not unreasonable of me to confirm the turn he wanted me to make before moving to an appropriate lane.
