This clinic is HORRIBLE. Avoid, avoid, avoid if you care about your health. I was referred to this clinic by my GP, (by default as this is the only endocrinologist treating Pickering-Ajax). It's a shame really as Dr. Providence was absolutely great, her clinic was not. They only provide you with a fax & phone number, no email. The phones they have are connected to an automated answering machine that they never answer, let alone connect their voicemail. To boot, when they call you it's during off hours (between 6-8am or after 5pm) and shows up as a private caller. What kind of doctors office can't ensure they have proper caller display? Getting in touch with this office is a nightmare as it's nearly impossible. I've been calling every week since the end of November to reschedule my follow up in January and no one has returned my call since. I was able to leave a voicemail, then mid-December they disconnected it. So consider this me notifying you I won't be in January 24th!!!My advice? Go elsewhere. Trusting a clinic who can't do the bare minimum of answering their phones is a massive red flag. Do better!!!!

This clinic is horrible. I went there a few wks back and was told don't deal with HRT, when I arrived. I asked for a mammogram and US. They forgot, so I have called 3 times now , to follow up and still nothing. I also, was told on the phone, they do deal with HRT, total lie and they don't respond to any of their bad reviews, Horrible business, do not go here. They also left me on hold for 10 mins..

This awful doctor and his team would not refill an existing prescription unless you make another appointment with him. How is this even allowed? Ontario needs to get rid of such practices if it can improve health care as a whole.

Horrible experience with this clinic. On two occasions I was told my requisition was being emailed and never received it, despite confirming my email with 2 employees. I then had to call the clinic 10+ times to speak with someone as the voicemail box is always full. The doctor was 2 hours late for both of my phone appointments, and gave me no solution for my problems other than telling me I can go back on the pill which I knew prior to the 2 rounds of blood work and 3 months I needed to wait for this whole process.

Like a few other people, I was a little skeptical to have an appointment here based on other reviews. I was pleasantly surprised with my overall experience. I was checked in quickly and was able to see the doctor within a reasonable time frame. My appointment was for 9:15 and I was out before 10.The staff member I talked to before seeing the doctor was extremely relatable and kind. I did not feel judged for answering any of her questions. The doctor gave me a few options and allowed me time to ask questions. The prescription was faxed to my pharmacy within 4 hours of my appointment ready for me.

Dr. Tharsan Sivakumar is a terrible doctor. At 33 weeks pregnant I had questions about my continuing care and medication post delivery. He took this as me questioning his approach and became condescending and arrogant when I was simply trying to communicate my concerns and understand how they could be considered as part of the treatment plan. When I mentioned my mood was so much better on the medication, he told me that smoking, drugs, and caffeine also make mood better but that doesn’t mean they are good for you which I found to be incredibly insulting. I was so taken aback I started crying (thanks pregnancy hormones) which was of course embarrassing. His response to that was to double down. He told me I was lying about what he had just told me. I will be requesting a new specialist but felt the need to post this review to hopefully save others from a similar experience. I echo all the comments about the clinic as well but could have dealt with that if the doctor was a compassionate human being.

I am editing my review once again of this place. I’m so disgusted. I’m in my third trimester of pregnancy and I need to have my thyroid checked every six weeks. This place is absolutely horrible to get a hold of. Their voice mail box is always full, they don’t call you back, they left me on hold for 40 minutes and hung up on me. They didn’t send my requisition by email for blood work. I’m asking my OB for another referral because this place is not to be trusted to handle any medical care. It’s imperative I have my thyroid checked every 6 weeks and given the proper medication. You could literally die before you get an appointment. The secretaries need to be let go. The doctor himself and his medical assistance are fine in person, but the secretaries and the way this place is run is disgusting and neglectful. Do not go with this clinic especially if you’re pregnant or elderly.

The staff treated me very poorly over the phone as there was a mix up with my ultrasound/ bloodwork. I felt unheard and by the end of the conversation I was crying. The staff told me she only yelled at me b/c I was yelling at her. Not true, as I couldn’t get a word in edgewise. Very frustrated and told that spending 8 minutes on the phone with me was not ok. I thought as a long standing customer/ patient she would want to help me and not get mad when I suggested there might be a mix with my health card as I had just changed my name. I was also told there must be another reason that I am this upset and just having a bad day.I could have definitely handled myself better but I guess my expectation of kindness is overrated with this office.By the third conversation I had with the “office manager” ( a different person) she was kind and told me she would deal with me from now on.However, the whole experience made me feel disrespected and I will be finding a new dr if I am treated like this again.

The office staff here are genuinely the worst to exist and I am not saying this lightly as I have dealt with many dismissive and unprofessional people but they're just that bad here. If I could see another doctor I would just to avoid having to communicate with these people that (and I really hate saying this) need to learn how to do their jobs properly. However, no complaints about the actual doctors that work here.

Been type 1 diabetic for 34 years. This is the best clinic I’ve ever been to. Dr. Providence has ordered more tests and explained more than any other endocrinologist I’ve ever had in 34 years. Educators told me some info that’s helped me manage a bit better. No idea why there are negative reviews.
