Quite good Indian food! Recommended by Fairmont concierge, and it did not disappoint. I had the Lentil and Spinach soup with Daal Tadka, my companion had the Tandoori Salmon - all excellent! Garlic naan, of course. And they made a terrific Manhattan! Service was friendly and courteous. Recommended very highly!

This time we tried vegetarian food but food was not good. We ordered Paneer tikka, dal makhni and aloo gobi, only dal makhni was up to mark. Rest were not good at all. Though, The cocktails were good and samosa was also fantastic. Will try sometime non-veg food then may be will increase the rating.

I’m always skeptical when it comes to Indian food especially when review claim it to be “real” and “authentic” just like Panda Express for Chinese food - hard pass! BUT I was pleasantly surprised as the hostess led us down the stairs into the restaurant, the decor and ambient lighting was on point and the timing worked out as there was no wait at around 4.30 PM. But what I loved most is the flavorful food! I enjoyed the onion bhaji - Indian take on the fried onion! What’s not to like. The paneer zalfrazi and chicken haryali were very well done, perfectly spicy and paired so well with the very fresh and crispy garlic naan. The naan is huge so 2 will easily fill 2 people. The rice was also well made with cardamom and cumin with a distinct hint of ghee, again perfect pairings for the curry. The service was fast and I would honestly recommend this to folks visiting Toronto and looking for good Indian food around the union station. The price was reasonable as they don’t skimp on the quantity or quality although I wish plain naan or rice was included. Definitely try it if you are in the area. I’ll love to try their clay oven tandoor dishes next time.

Best of the best. Super delicious food. Our server Vivek was amazing, super knowledgeable and hospitable. True definition of service. We came here for an anniversary dinner and he made us feel so special. He gave us great food recommendations. From clearing off the table after every course, refilling our water, Highly recommend this place. Thank you!

I don't know Indian food well. Chicken is not great but sauces are great. Staffs are very kind. I enjoy the time.

Went for here on dinner on saturday. Honestly it’s quite meh and not very Indian - tasting. However the pictures come well, the restaurant serious needs to be cleaned and dusted throughoutFood was actually bad.Chicken Pakora- disgusting. Why was it served on lettuce and with papad crush. It felt like you served whatever lolChicken tikka- it was great.Butter chicken - felt like tomato soup or cream of tomato soupChicken korma- horrible- felt like dal.We were three of us and waitress said one curry is just for one person so take 2. We took two and we didn’t even finish one of the curries lol. Don’t fall for the trap and also they should increase curry quantity- definitely too much price for such a small quantity. Not visiting again

Came here on Christmas day. I didn't want to eat too much and ordered appetizers of prawn pakora and keema naan. $16.95 for 8 pieces of prawn pakora is quite expensive. The price for main dishes is more reasonable. In terms of food quality, it is an average, maybe I didn't try their main courses and didn't get a full pictures. The staffs are friendly though.

Great place!Beautiful decor with hand carved wood panelling over brick. The food was delicious, flavourful and well priced. We had the butter chicken, paneer saag and lamb tandoori (all great). The place was over all very well managed with great service, helpful staff. I will be returning, thanks!

I was recently blown away by the flavour of the chicken biryani, mixed vegetable curry, and dal makhani that I tried at Benares Indian Cuisine. The chicken in the biryani was tender, and the spices added just the right amount of flavour. The mixed vegetable curry was also excellent, with a flavorful and filling combination of vegetables and spices. The dal makhani was delicious, and its velvety smoothness went wonderfully with the other meals. The cuisine was excellent, on the whole. All of the food was delicious, wholesome, and freshly made. If you're craving authentic Indian food in a warm and inviting setting, look no further than this restaurant.
