Really neat little ferry that runs completely on cables. The lady that operates it was very sweet and gave us lots of ideas for travel in Saskatchewan

Estuary Ferry
It was a 20 min detour to take this over Hwy 44 & 21 to Leader/Prelate, but worth it. Staff was friendly. He even stopped in the middle of the river for us to take pictures during the sunset.When the river flows quickly, they use a rudder to transport the ferry across without the powered engine for the cable.Protip: Turn off your lights and open the windows slightly (to hear the operator) because there's lots of mosquitoes.
