Infamous hotpot in Waterloo area, love their beef and chicken dishes, so tender and yummy, the best part is that even when they cook a bit longer they are still so tender and juicy. The shrimp wontons also taste so good, hand made meat balls are so smooth. Just focus on the food, don't mind the street looking DaPaiDong style. Parking space is limited. Don't be scared with other reviews, just follow their rules, no touch, no question asked, imagine you're in Hell's kitchen eating with Gordon Ramsay =)

Taste 5/5 environment 2.5/5 service 5/5 servers are busy but helpful & responsive. Wait time 0/5 make sure you have a few hours to “waste” before going there as no reservation can be done if you are not a group of 4 or more. Also you will be seated with others most likely if you have small group. Managers are ok, rude but made fun to us lol

I drove from CALIFORNA, and had to paddle on the grand river for over 4 hours just to get to this restaurant. The food was unlike any of my expectations. Honestly, i will be moving to waterloo just so i can eat here more often. Members only btw. Dont bother coming here if you are a lowly member of the public.

The boss is not as scary as some of the other reviewers make it sound. The atmosphere is really bad, so if you care about that this isn't the place for you. Basically just go for the food and don't expect good service or atmosphere.

No Information for urgent close! I drove 2 hours from Toronto and did reservation with more than 10 calls! However, I have not receive any phone call regarding urgent close! Hard to understand why they do not inform all RESERVED customers at least when they decided to close during weekends!

We had a great time dining here: the chicken and beef were super tender and juicy, all other dishes were really fresh. Their sauté sauce was GODLY delicious, goes good with any dish. And about their service: you won’t get into any trouble as long as you follow their house rules, and the waiters will helped you willingly as long as you ask. The owner told me not to give him 5 star review on Google and not to recommend this place to anybody because he was really tired since this place was way over-crowded, but here I am anyway :)

Food was good. Beef and chicken was tender and I really liked the wontons as well. Service was okay. $33-$35 for all you can eat hotpot is a not a bad price. Would recommend especially if you are craving something hot and comforting in the cold weather.

The food was great, a solid variety and delicious. The price was also reasonable. Service was decent, the guy was attentive and quick to help with any of our requests for water, napkins, order, etc.

The attitude and manners of the owner were unacceptable and the rudest I have ever seen in my life so far. Just as we reached 1 min before the 1h30 time limit, the owner came to our table and started yelling at us loudly in front of everyone to tell us that we had the get out of the table right away due to the time limit. The restaurant didn't provide any reminder that we were approaching the time limit then just start yelling and pointing fingers at us without respect as if we commited a crime when the time limit is reached (not even surpassed).The sanitary conditions were also atrocious with black mold everywhere in the kitchen and washrooms.I do not recommend anyone to eat here unless you want your evening to be ruined by rudeness and disrespect toward customers.Taxes are skipped if you pay cash.

The sauce is great; the atmosphere isn't ideal tho. The owner isn't that scary but actually nice. We accidentally left one jacket there and he helped us find it and even put it in a clean bag.
