Kelley Wong Piano Studio

I’m thrilled to write this review for Kelley Wong as a virtual piano student of his for the past year. He has been an attentive, engaging, and friendly music instructor in my later in life piano learning journey, and I look forward to our lessons. He really understands how to customize the learning experience to fit my goals, incorporate the musical stylings of requested composers or musical eras, as well as maintaining levity and fun in lessons. I highly recommend Kelley for virtual piano lessons if you get the chance to join his studio!

Kelley has been the BEST piano teacher to my 2 young daughters. We live in another province and conduct lessons over Zoom and it's been working out great! The girls love their time with him.He is not only a gifted and phenomenal pianist, but he's also a really down to earth, kind, patient and positive instructor. He also breaks down concepts to make it easier to learn for the little ones or beginners.I would never hesitate to recommend Kelley!

Kelley not only has exceptionally fine piano skill sets and musical talents but is also a teacher with compassion who cares about his students' learning journey. My daughter has been with him since before covid times and used to be very shy and initially didn't have the confidence to respond back verbally during the earlier lessons.During her in-person classes, I got a chance to relax in the waiting area next to the studio room. It really touched my heart to hear Kelley's upbeat voice and laughter as he gently guided my daughter through the lessons. He never once made her feel small or uncomfortable for being too shy to speak up. As a mother, it was truly a joy to know my daughter was in good hands with such a gracious teacher. Whenever I reflect back to these precious memories, I cannot help but feel grateful for what a fabulously gentle, patient and encouraging teacher Kelley has been.We really appreciate all his immense efforts & guidance and thankful for our daughter's growth and transformation over the years ꕥP.S. Kelley is a friendly, caring instructor with great knowledge. He takes care to ensure that his students learn but also pays attention to them as people. He was a great teacher for our son!

I took piano lessons for 6 years as a child. 50 years later I decided to play again and discovered Kelley. He consistently and passionately encourages joyful passion for the creation of what I would call music for the soul, and that has really been the backbone of our experience together. I have encountered personal challenges as I learn to play again at age 70. I thought my childhood learning would all come flooding back and my mind and body would cooperate perfectly, however that did not happen. Kelley has guided me, through active listening and a caring yet professional approach and attitude (including joy and laughter), to meet and overcome every challenge I have faced. Kelley is an exceptional teacher. I have come such a long way with his passion and expertise, and will now continue to play for the rest of my life. I highly recommend Kelley to anyone of any age who wants to learn to play the piano!

My eight year old daughter started taking piano lessons (virtually) from Kelley this past year and I have been so impressed with her progress. Kelley makes piano lessons fun but also knows how to motivate my daughter to practice and give her best effort. I also really appreciate that Kelley is able to conduct the lessons in Cantonese as this provides a wonderful language practice opportunity. We are excited to continue with Kelley next year!

Kelley is a professional pianist with a full passion of teaching and sharing the piano technique. He wrote detailed feedback after each lesson and inspired the students on how to enjoy music. His classes are fun and engaging. We are lucky to have him as the tutor.

Teacher Kelley has been teaching our two sons 10 and 5 for the last 4 months. In the short 4 months, we’ve seen tremendous improvement in their ability. They practice throughout the day self motivated. Initially, I didn’t have high hopes for my younger son as I didn’t think he would have the patience for it. But I was surprised to see how proud he was when he learned a new song. I think teacher Kelley really sparks their interest and able to motivate them. Their first recital is coming up and we’re super excited to watch. Thank you teacher Kelley!

Kelley is a fantastic teacher! I started learning piano as an adult who was new to piano. He made lessons fun and interesting. I felt as though I progressed quickly to playing songs I highly enjoyed. He is patient, encouraging and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for lessons as a beginner or for those looking for advanced skills.
