I went in with a tricky-looking luggage repair I needed done same-day. He was very honest about the potential difficulty of fixing it but agreed to try it with a quick turnaround - and ended up finishing it in a couple hours without even charging me for the rush job. The price was beyond fair and the repair looked great.

Went to get a work bag repaired. He explained that he could fix a part for 1/4 of what another serviceman said cannot be fixed AND gave a price below in theoretical case of replacement to the first guy.Was very honest and reasonable, and bag came bag great!

Vanishing breed of shops that do repairs. Remember it's Cash only, which I find weird in this day and age, but goes with the retro vibe of repairs to begin with!!Owner is a bit gruff but is a good craftsman, which is more important anyway.I usually get my shoes resoled, and got repairs done once. A little bit pricey but that goes with the neighborhood.Glad places like this and tailoring shops still exist to prolong the use of otherwise good articles of wear. Went to Davis to get my 20 year old bag repaired. Only needed wheels replaced. The guy behind the counter stated if he could find the wheels the cost would be $40 per wheel and then there was no guarantee they could be fixed. I went on-line found the wheels for $9 for the pair. Taking it to Mikes Shoe shop where a little honesty goes a long way.
