The upside of the restaurant is that they hand prepare many of their products. I think almost anything breaded and their egg rolls are made fresh here vs some Chinese Food restaurants are purchasing wholesale in bulk from Sysco and other suppliers. When you visit you can see a bit into the kitchen and it does not look like a disaster which is a plus.The downsides are the staff are not friendly at all - I would give them at best a 4 out of 10 for demeanor and helpfulness. But the biggest detriment is the portion sizes are small. Your going to be paying $8 to $13 for what amounts to less then 2 cups of food. We found their portion sizes are much smaller then other Chinese Food restaurants we have tried in Ottawa. Their full order is like the half order at other places.So we cannot recommend. There are simply better choices that provide equal quality but better value for the money.

I love their open-ended egg rolls! They're my absolute favourite, and I would definitely recommend. Not only are the egg rolls crispy and bursting with flavour, but the service is really good too - the people running the restaurant are very nice to their customers.

Fire food. The combo #7 is a value deal. The sweet and sour chicken balls and general tso's chicken are delicious and fresh. I finally understand the hype around Cathay's egg roll too.

Worst experience with delivery I have ever had.Our food took two hours to arrive, and they forgot the drinks. I called to tell them they forgot the drinks right away. An hour later they still hadn't arrived and I called to ask them to just refund them and not bother bringing them. They refused and insisted they were on their way. An additional hour later, this is about 4 hours after we ordered, the drinks arrived but they were the wrong kind!Additionally our chicken dish was over cooked, and our pork dish was undercooked and tasted like half raw batter. Both were so bad we didn't come close to finishing.Don't waste your time ordering here.

Ordered the gentso chicken with shanghai fried noodles—tasted great! Egg rolls were awesome too. Great service, will definitely be returning. Would recommend to others.

I got egg rolls and shanghai fried noodle with gen tso chicken. I ended up ordering the egg rolls after, I wasn't planning on ordering it before, but I'm glad I did, it was pretty good and will order it again.

Finally a place that has good black ended eggrolls. So hard to find in ottawa. The lemon chicken and crispy beef were really good. I only wished the fried rice would be a little bit more flavourful but worth the try.

Driver forgot our drinks and I am still waiting for them over an hour after we called to inform them. General Tao was dry and only had one sad piece of baby corn, and the S&S pork was all fat and batter. When I called a second time two and half hours after placing my order they refused to refund me for the drinks insisting they are 'on the way'.

Best Chinese Canadian food in Ottawa. Clean kitchen, healthy food. Low/fair pricing, large menu, VERY HIGH QUALITY!! Love everything from here!!Menu posted as of Sept. 2021.
