This store has awesome Chinese food. Fried rice was not greasy or salty nor doused in soy sauce. The vegetable chop suey was crunchy. Make sure to grab some your utensils.

It has everything, but unfortunately, it's all pretty generic products. Little specialty stuff, very little gluten free or higher end options. Meat section is abysmal. They cut beautiful steaks WAY to thin and they still cost a fortune. Prime rib is not a fast fry steak. It should be illegal to cut nice steaks so thin. Very little in free range options in the poultry section. Frozen pizza is limited to Delissio and Dr Oetkers, 50 different pizzas but only two brands other than their in-house brand.They desperately need a dedicated express lane and/or self checkout, not just the customer support counter they currently use. It's very frustrating when it gets busy and you only have a few items but have to wait 15 minutes to go through the process.That said the deli and quick service cooked foods (chicken/pizza/Chinese/sushi etc) is quite nice and handy when you don't want to cook. The upstairs is cool, lots of (very expensive) small kitchen appliances and utensils, plus a Starbucks.Reminds me of a fancy looking, but pedestrian products IGA from the 80's.

You will be well taken care of at this Quality Foods, the workers always help the elderly and people in general to help their shopping experience more convenient. I always the quality at Quality Foods because if there are any issues they will honor and resolve any issues you have.

Hands down the best grocery store I've ever stepped foot in. I was like a kid in a candy shop.

Getting tired of the slow, gradually declining attention to customer service by management. Most recently, when trying to use my points for a turkey, they had changed the process and none of the cashiers were aware. You now have to go to customer service and get a certificate and then proceed to a check out. An extra wait and inconvenience. Clearly this is to make it more difficult to use points for turkey. Really petty and poor customer service for loyal customers. Perhaps my loyalty would be more appreciated in the Parksville location. This added a ten minute wait to my trip today

Instead of going for fast food while on a scenic drive we stopped at Qualty foods for the biggest selection of lunch ever. A couple of glass cases bearing bakery, sandwiches, soup or my favorite, the Chinese food just to name a few. You can eat in or take out. The price is very competitive and everything is fresh. Give your self a treat, stop in and check out today.

Yesterday purchased 2 chicken wraps to take on our evening paddle, 7.99 each which was over $16 with tax. We were looking forward to the break and snack when we made shore, but opening these was more than disappointing. These were the worst wraps we have ever had. Stale, tough tortillas, the chicken seemed as if it were a week old, and wilted dry lettuce was tucked with a few strands of cheese. There was no sauce or moisture in it, making it seem like a mouthful of dry wood. Worse, whoever made these seems to think that folding a wrap isn't necessary when there's a colorful paper sleeve to garnish it. But the contents fall out the bottom once the sleeve is removed...and there's barely anything in the wrap to begin with. My companion was equally disgusted. We do not recommend the deli wraps at QF Qualicum for any occasion, it would have been better if we'd made our own. Probably cost less too.

The prices are so high that the greed overwhelms. Don’t shop there.If you can afford to shop there have a thought for seniors who cannot but due to mobility issues have little choice. Help them by not rewarding greed by shopping there.Update - Went there today out of necessity and the pricing continues to be ridiculous even given inflation. What is insulting and should be illegal is the pricing (btw - beware of the very, very small print) that is by pound or by kilogram or by 100 grams or by whatever they can get away with by misleading a shopper. You have vegetable products side by side with some priced by pound and others by kilograms. You have so called Manager's special" signs that promote a great deal but underneath the sign you see that the orignal price is literally just pennies difference on $$$ items. Disgusting. I have been around for a few years including time overseas and I have never encountered such deceitful marketing practices in a grocery store."
