Let me start off by saying that I was a long-time Preloved client before Rebecca sold the business and it became The Recollective. The new owners are incredibly unamicable and unreasonably hostile when shopping in-store. Consigning with them is also a nightmare: They frequently lose and misplace items; It takes them several weeks to respond to payout requests once your items have sold.After too many unpleasant interactions over the past ~3 years with The Recollective and the two women who run it, I will no longer be shopping or consigning there.

Went in looking for a dress for an upcoming wedding and all the pants and dresses and jumpsuits were mixed together on the same rack, which made it difficult to look through quickly. And normally I wouldn’t worry so much about being quick, but the two young women working made it abundantly clear they wanted me to leave, mentioning twice in the span of 5 minutes that they were closing soon. (Though a pack of friends had come in to chat right before closing and that was fine.) Maybe just an off day, but it was my first time in and tbh as much as I enjoy thrifting and consignment shops, I’m not inclined to go back to this one.

What I love the most is that they only take in modern items that are in high demand and aren't those cluttered stores. Keep an eye on their daily stories on Instagram not to miss some awesome find!

The best consignment shop in Ottawa!! I love shopping and consigning with the recollective. I started shopping with them through their instagram during the pandemic and never stopped! I’ve since moved to vancouver where it’s filled with consignment shops but they remain one of my favourites. I continue to follow them on Instagram and stop by their shop whenever I’m in Ottawa. As a seller, I’ve sold so many pieces through them too. From Carla and Kelly’s responsiveness to emails and on instagram, they are so reliable and make the entire selling experience very easy!

Absolutely the best consignment experience you will have....as a seller and a buyer.The family team at The Recollective carefully curate your pieces in delightful fashion stories that rival any on line fashion site. As a customer I have found beautifully unique pieces...no longer available in stores. Truly a fashion lover's dream. A must visit in the Ottawa Westboro area.

The ladies at The Recollective have such an eye for trends. They look for consigned pieces that fit the current seasonal styles and trends and showcase the most popular finds online every day. They are ridiculously helpful both in store and via DM and have loads of experience with sizing, fit, etc.I've been lucky enough to score some beautiful spring/summer pieces thanks to their intel.I wouldn't ever hesitate to recommend this wonderful gem of a store.

The best consignment store in Ottawa! Owned by two super fashionable and even more lovely sisters, I always feel so welcome in their beautiful store. They have a great eye and I love bringing my stuff there too! Make sure you drop by there are soooo many high end gems for great prices and it's in a great neighborhood to stop for a bite!

My favourite consignment shop! Lovely quality items in a range of prices, I don’t think I ever leave that place empty handed! Their drops on Instagram are also a great way to shop from home. The owners are very attentive and responsive to feedback from buyers and the community - and if there’s something specific you’re looking for, they’re on it. This little spot is such a great addition to the neighbourhood! Would recommend in a heartbeat.

GREAT spot! Lovely owners, awesome collection. I've purchased a number of items from them and my wife is a regular! Certainly a perfect addition to Wellington West. Make sure to pop in and follow them on IG because many certain items don't last long!
