My doctor recommended Dr. Grushka after I got TMJD from a wisdom tooth extraction. My dentist and specialist weren't very helpful so she told me to see Dr. Grushka. Before I met Dr. Grushka, I was in a frustrating situation plagued by constant dizziness, pain and inability to work. Upon my initial consult, I was instantly impressed by Dr. Grushka. Her knowledge and experience in this area is tremendous. I work in Healthcare, so I know a good doctor when I meet one. I liked the fact that she went through lots of diagnostic tests to determine what exactly the problem was. Some people just moved my jaw around and said, yup you got TMJD and to wear a night guard and that's it.Dr. Grushka wanted to determine the exact diagnosis so that treatment would be effective. She even recommended a physio should I require it who specializes in this (I went and the physio is fantastic). Not only that, their treatments worked in conjunction with each other so that prognosis was on the right road to recovery.Dr. Grushka would explain in detail exactly what I had and how to treat it so that I understood why I was undergoing the treatment she had me on. No fancy upgrades, or botox injections which are pushed by others because they can charge for every visit.On top of that, her assistant and reception are on top of it all. They explain which billing code to use to help with reimbursement. They explain every single part of the process and what is to be expected.It may not be cheap to see her, but that's what I expect from a specialist. But having dealt with this for two years of discomfort and pain, she is well worth it. No wonder her waitlist is long because she is so in demand. I can't recommend her enough.

Dr Grushka has been a life saver. I am eating foods I have not been able to eat for 10 years due to burning mouth pain. After only 1 week on the meds she gave me the difference is remarkable. Even my dentist was surprised at how good my mouth looks. I will never be able to thank her enough.

To Molla Kuge: Did the Transligual issue you have last 4 years? I thought that issue usually resolved itself after a couple of days?

Dr. Grushka is absolutely brilliant and highly recommended! She is an expert in chronic mouth and jaw pain, including TMJ pain, Burning Mouth Syndrome and Loss of Taste & Smell.

Dr Grushka is an amazing doctor. I don't have the words to convey the positive changes in my life with her care. My mouth guard not only stops my from grinding my teeth but helps me sleep! My problems with my jaw have improved immensely.

Dr Grushka greatly improved the quality of my life. With proper medication and a retainer my pain and discomfort decreased substantially. I honestly do not know what I would of done without her intervention. I had already been suffering for over a year before finally being referred to her and her team. The suffering was definitely taking its toll. A heart felt thank you to each team member.

This specialist was nothing less than a 10/10 for me; if I could give 6 stars, I would. Although it took me nearly a year for my initial appointment, it is evident why Dr. Grushka is highly sought after. She listened to my concerns, asked follow up questions that were not condescending and approached with genuine care and curiosity. She explained her thought process and plans to support me in enough detail; they were neither overwhelmingly complex or over simplified. The suggested approach for my symptoms were much more conservative and far less invasive than what my family dentist had offered as options, and were also explained clearly and concisely so that I am confident with Dr. Grushka’s help, I will be able to alleviate my concerns. I became emotional during the visit as I’ve been having these symptoms and seeking medical support for nearly a decade and finally feel like I’m on the right path! Worth every penny.

Went to see Dr. Grushka about 4yrs ago for burning mouth symptoms. It was a very quick visit where she said that its probably burning mouth, gave me a couple of blood tests to do, and a whole bunch of reading material that was very technical....not written for a patient, but a doctor rather.....and I never heard back from her. The visit cost me $300+ dollars and I did not even get a follow up call from her office to tell me about the results of my tests or what the action plan would be in managing this, as I know that there is no cure for it.Fast forward 4yrs and I was able to get an actual diagnosis from the department of oral pathology at Mount Sinai and it is NOT burning mouth, but rather translingual papillitis!

These doctors know their stuff and are very experienced and very well educated. They have diagnosed my condition, built a treatment regimen and provided me with the proper medication and retainers. I would recommend the doctors to anyone living with mouth pain. 5 stars and my best regards to these top professionals. Thank you for giving me my life back.
