Me and my wife had a wonderful experience. A lawyer came to meet us personally. We discussed the case with him and he listened diligently. He gave us good advice on how to proceed with our case, even provided us several test cases to give us an idea of how similar cases went in court. But most importantly, never tried to get more money out of the situation by proposing a deal and even discouraged it seeing it wouldn't benefit us.
