This place has great service and a nice environment. The rice-to-fish ratio is a bit off (the sushi had a bit more rice than I was expecting), but still pretty good! The takoyaki was fantastic. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants a decent meal for a fair price.

Great Sushi place on Bloor. The Spicy Salmon Lover was so good and everything was fresh and tasty. Attentive server and clean restaurant. 5 stars.

This spot has a great selection of sushi. We had the Shrimp Tempura, the dinner sets which comes with Miso Soup and Salad- the Sashimi set and the California roll set. The sashimis and rolls were decent.

Rolls were generously sized. Chirashi bowl was decent but I felt the sashimi could have featured slightly more premium cuts.We got take out bags and the server provided a soy sauce packet with the bags - this was a nice touch that I haven't experienced in other sushi places. Server was wonderfully welcoming.

Overall, the experience at Sushi Maido is pleasant. Although the establishment is small with a majorly college crowd, the overall customer service experience is enjoyable, and the food top notch.The lunch bento are of significant value and quality, all of which include soup, a light green salad and rice, which makes for a filling and affordable meal. Highly recommend the Tofu Teriyaki & Yam Tempura Maki for a nutritiously scrumptious meal.Servers were exceptionally attentive and kind throughout the experience. Overall, excellent place for a decent bite!

Placed a large order through ritual and the service was fast and the staff was very nice. Good portion sizes at a reasonable price and great quality fish, salmon sashimi was excellent. They even gave us free beef gyoza because we ordered a lot. Will be eating here again, definitely recommend!

I’m new to Toronto and found this place in my first week. I’ve been here consistently each week, if not twice a week. Lovely ambience, friendly staff and delicious food. Very reasonably priced bento boxes at lunch time. I highly recommend their shrimp tempura and sushi bento box. Tempura comes out consistently fresh and hot.

Very nice comfortable atmosphere. Sushi feels very fresh and the salmon teriyaki was so tender! I think they took feedback because the amount of rice felt pretty balanced. Definitely coming back to try more in the future!
