Parris International Movers & Storage

We hired Gus and his team to move us from Newmarket to Halifax over the last few weeks. They were EXCELLENT all around. We were very happy to be dealing with a family owned business, the pride they took in their work was very evident. We had originally hired a different mover who turned out to be a fraudster and Parris had to take over mid-move and clean up the mess. They picked up some of our contents from 3rd party storage, took it to their own storage facility and held it for us. They then completed the whole move and got everything safely to Halifax with no issues. We liked that Gus was up front and told us how everything would work so there were no surprises along the way. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend to anyone.

We were recommended Parris Movers by a family member, she is someone who would never steer us wrong and once again, she didn’t let us down! Gus came and checked out what we were moving and immediately knew what we needed. The move was done professionally and we were treated so respectfully! Customer service to the nth degree! And literally on the most humid day of the year, did they complain?? Absolutely not! They moved our furniture and the ridiculous amount of boxes like it was nothing. My husband and I were very pleased with Parris Movers when they helped us move earlier this month. They were on time (extremely important when you are booking an elevator at a condo building) and quick. Gus and his crew are an experienced team who have worked together for a long time and they know their business. And our furniture and belongings were stored at their yard for a couple of days for a very small fee added on to a very reasonable rate (a service that is not provided by every company). We will recommend them to family and friends.

I hired this company. The owner, Gus quoted me at approximately $325/hour. They were going to move most of the contents of my house to a storage unit 10 minutes away. They did not show up on time...they were almost 3 hours late. Then they realized they had the wrong size truck so that was another half hour wait. After they finally moved everything to the storage unit, I was dinged with a $1443 moving bill. I paid them but I called them the next day and the owner/boss basically told me I paid for the 4 guys that came. I was not told this information prior to the move. I was definitely taken advantage of. Do not hire them! Very unprofessional and shady.

Gus and his team were fantastic to work with. They arrived on time and quickly worked to get our move done as soon as possible. The team was very careful and took time to ensure all of our furniture and the house was not damaged at all during the process. Great price and service!
