Amazing staff. Friendly, non-judgemental and beyond helpful! I feel blessed being helped by this organization. They really care.

Our family attended the supper last evening and the presentation of the Quilts of Valour. My father was one of the Veterans honoured to receive a quilt and we felt welcomed and at home the minute we went through the doors. The Veterans and this place is truly amazing!

I have always been impressed by this Thrift Store and the Association, but when I stopped in yesterday, after not being there for a while, I was blown away by the improvements!! It was so well organized and filled with treasures clearly displayed on the walls and rows of new shelving. It was impossible not to do the whole tour". Kudos to the Staff and Volunteers who regularly keep this a viable source of support for Veterans and their families!! If you haven't yet

Was Contracted to Run the VAFB Renovation , it was the worst Experience of My Career. The Management was incompetent and Members openly Attacked other Food Banks , VAFB Management did nothing to Discourage the Behaviour

I will always be thankful to the staff at the V.A here in Calgary for the help they gave me getting my life back. So much time and effort with everything I needed !! Thank you to all the staff.

When the Royal Canadian Legion closed the Calgary Veteran's Food Bank in January 2019, two very different groups came forward to fill the void. In what unfortunately became a contest between them, a clear winner has emerged. That is the Veterans Association Food Bank. Registered as a legitimate and official charity (the other one is not) it is managed by the same person who managed the Legion's food bank for years. It has a large membership of Veterans who attend regularly to socialize and support each other. The atmosphere is welcoming, the friendship is genuine, and the place has good positive energy.As a combat Veteran I really appreciate the understanding, empathy and support I get from this group. It is both a safe haven and a lifeline for those of us struggling with PTSD and transitioning from military to civilian life.

A great place for Vets. Groceries, clothes, household stuff, etc for them. I'll be donating all my stuff here from now on. Plus they've got lots of stuff for sale for us non vets in their thrift store! I found some terrific buys there! THANK YOU VETERANS! ❤️
