Rumours Coffee House & Deli

Excellent customer service! Coffee is always fresh! In the summer I enjoy the ice cream that is offered, always tastes fresh and never freeze burnt like some ice cream services. Baked goods are delicious. This coffee house is clean, trendy, with a nice sit in service. A great place to visit if you live in Marathon or are just passing thru the town.

Picked up a crispy chicken wrap this morning to eat later today for lunch on our bicycle trip to White River. Turns out that was a very good idea because the wrap was indeed, very good!

Great food and welcoming staff, haven't tried anything there that i haven't loved, if your in Marathon On, and want something that makes subway look like garbage, swing by rumours and have a sub, wrap, sandwich, salad or soup/chilli, you won't regret it, the bread if fresh and the coffee is hot. 10/10 I go there for lunch 7 days a week.

Rarely have fresh baked goods available or popular items in stock. Not a very bright or comfortable table area. Very boring looking and nothing new.

Anyone who does a lot of traveling in small towns knows that vegetables and not-carbohydrate-based meals are hard to find. I ordered a large garden salad here and it was AMAZING. Not your standard iceberg lettuce with shredded carrots and a couple tomato slices - this was a proper veg-rich salad and just what I was craving after two days of burgers and fries. I also ordered a sub and a latte. They were great too.

Took the small detour off the highway to see this store and it was disappointing. Found ourselves with the worst coffee / cappuccino of our 5 day trip across Canada. Cappuccino looked like a tea with milk. There is a large selection of food here so there is options including dessert and snacks that looked good. No snack options noted for dietary needs DF, GF, V. Generic Nestle ice cream is also found here. Restaurant is clean.

Change in ownership recently has made this place a last option in Marathon. Took 10 minutes to get a toasted bagel. They didn't even put the cream cheese on it.Got a BLT sub sandwich recently. The prices of subs have increased and the quality decreased. Bread tasted like styrofoam. I often ask for no lettuce but magically, it still appears.I have ordered soup there twice. Both times it came with a burnt taste i.e. ready for the garbage can.Service is slowwwwwww. Always has been.Staff look unhappy, bored, and unmotivated to do but the minimum required. To me, this says a lot about their boss.On a positive note: their whipped cheesecake is awesome.Will be avoiding this cafe in the future.

Horrible service from the girl taking our order. She is very rude to customers. Will never go back. Food was not the best. Out of ingredients and not many options.

Good place. We love their wraps and the fries are the best in town!

Having recently moved to Marathon, after numermous visits, we decided to try out Rumours for some ice cream. We were highly disappointed and somewhat disgusted. The soft ice cream was very gritty and the add ins tasted stale. The restaurant was quite dirty and the staff seem to have an aversion to washing their hands. Will not be returning even though they have some items we would normally try. How the heck did they get an A" rating from the health board??"
