Ballet Montreal Performing Arts School

Terrible. So unorganized, and rude. We are about 30 parents in a waiting room, waiting for our kids. The tables are half a foot away from another table. Or it’s like ten ppl sitting on one couch.I never got my confirmation of payments or schedule for ballet. I happen to call two days before my daughter was starting to find out her first day was in two days. Floors are filthy, and they expect you to walk with socks or bare feet. Gross…Ballet Teachers seem nice tho. That’s it….

Ballet Montreal is a great ballet school but also a great dance school. The teachers are very qualified and passionate. The artistic director of that school is probably the best teacher I’ve ever met in all my years of dancing. She cares like nobody would. She will make sure that everybody have the same opportunities and get to dance to the best of their habilities. If you tell her that you have a dream, she will make sure to honour it. She will never hold a grudge against her students, even on the harder days. She always shows up her for her students and tries to find ways to make them achieve what they are capable of. She will always tell you the truth so you can improve. At the end of the day, she doesn’t do it for herself but for all her students, to make sure they are proud of themselves. Every year she kills herself putting on a real ballet show from the classical repertoire. Having the chance to be part of those shows is something that I will carry and cherish my entire life because it teaches you so much more than just dance. Nobody trully sees what has to be done behind the scene to put on those kind of shows. Those shows could be compared to profesionnal shows. Every year she does a different one. That means different costumes, different sets, different lighting, different cast, different choreographies… And every year she does it. She does it so her students can be stimulated and experience the stage so they are ready for the professional world. She arrives at the studio early in the morning and will stay late at night to make sure everything that has to be ready is. She doesn’t count her hours and she will make sure every details is covered so it is as perfect as it can be. It is easy to point out what is not working and complain about things. However, with the show coming up, I think it’s very important to appreciate and be grateful for all the work, effort and passion that Paula does for her school and her students.

Incredible dance school - chose it because of how well qualified the teachers are and how much they focus on technique and the wellness of their students. Would highly recommend!

Great school, love their classes. Teachers are very competent. I tried Ballet Ouest for adults a few times but teachers for adults there are not good.

Exceptional dance school in Montreal! Very high level of technique and the teachers are very qualified. I came back to this school after the very top professional schools in Canada, because I did not feel the same level of passion and care towards ballet from any other place than this school, hence why I believe this school is what is best for me and anyone aspiring to make it far in this wonderful art.

This is very expensive. Even though you paid for the dress at the end of the year fashion show, they don't even allow you to take photos. Because it's a contracted studio. If you want picture and video, you have to pay. Tickets are also paid. Money for a step, money for money. They say that the explanation is for the safety of the children.
