Stepped in for a few items :No lactose free ( cheese & whipped cream).Paid $10 for Watermelon to find it is rubbish. Just the good thing was the Nescafe that was on sale.

I have been working here since January 2023 and i enjoy working here at independent the employees are very nice

I went here to grab a bottle of Heinz. It came out very weird and watery and had an odd colour. Also it tasted very weird. I look at the expiration date and its been expired for 6 months. I assumed they regularly restocked and I wouldn’t have to check the expiration on an item that has a long shelf life, but guess I was wrong. There’s no point in me driving back to return a bottle of sauce but I will never return to this store again.

I like this store. It's a good replacement for those of us who used to shop at Sobeys. I find it funny that a lot of times they don't have regular products found at other grocery stores but they have lots of really weird stuff and a large Pharmacy section. Meat from this store is good and the butchers are happy to help you out. Produce can be spotty as far as quality goes. That's more of a chain than store issue.

I have been shopping at this store for 20 years give or take.I have noticed a few, not so good changes since it became a McDonough’s Independent.Today I had an issue with my Points card not being scanned by the cashier while going through the cash. I went to customer service and no one was behind counter but 2 employees were close by both on their phones.The 2 employees had a look at my receipt and informed me that basically it would NOT be worth their time to refund the receipt and run it through again in order to award my points. Clearly these 2 employees are not part of the PC Points promotion and marketing department. I would have preferred more of a “we’re sorry that happened let’s see what we can do to fix it” attitude instead of being brushed off.Defeated by the lack the care and customer service I left the store.

Smaller than a big superstore so easier to go through the isles more quickly. Very clean and orderly with all of the benefits of PC Optimum.

Good selection of Pumpkins and a clean store. Prices are moderate to slightly high. Store supports our local community and former owner who passed away, Ken Ross, is badly missed

It was actually my first visit in a while. Lately though, a lot of independant grocers put out very decent deals, lots on fruit. Good meat cuts too.!

They need to take better care of their flashfood inventory. I saw 3 each of pork and chicken kebab on their page so I bought a chicken kebab. However they only had 1 pork kebab left. And they still had several kebabs on their page to be purchased. Also the original price of the product was lower than advertised. Getting a refund on flashfood isn't super easy either so I hope they can sort this out.

Spacious, less people, a bit higher price.
