I've trained with Dave for over a decade. We came up in the same club out of Montreal. Actually I started before him although I didn't end up dedicating my life to BJJ. He was the one we use to ask when we couldn't remember details of techniques cause he knew them all and he was a part of my success in winning the first World Pro Jiu-Jitsu Cup canadian trials in Montreal.

Both my kids have been going to BJJ with David for the past 3 years. It has built their confidence in general, the way they carry themselves, the way they face challenges. BJJ replaced other sports in our household. We left the world of competitive hockey for our son and found instead a loving encouraging positive team.The way David teaches the kids, they become accountable for their uniform, the way they learn, the way the kids teach lesser skilled or new kids at the gym. In a way, the kids have flourished by knowing that their actions have consequences, parents are not the ones getting the 'gear' there, the kids do.The mix gender classes enable the kids to face reality, you will deal with people from different gender that can assault you or bully you. The way David's classes are built, kids are not intimidated or yelled at. Kids are having fun and it's just so lovely to see.I have seen two kids become more confident, strong and resilient. I highly encourage any parent that is seeking an alternative fitness program for their kids, to build their confidence or give them a sense of normality during these crazy times.David teaches kids from as young as 4 years old all the way to adults. He has free trial classes. His teenage class is fabulous too.
