Electrify Canada Charging Station

Going to reiterate what another reviewer said.Visited on February 2023.My EV can handle over 150kwh so I was charged the premium rate of $0.57 per minute even though my car never reached charging of over 50 kwh. I also understand that there are factors that influence the charging speed but if my charging never got over 90kwh then why am I being charged a premium rate?Reached out to a Electrify Canada representative who was no help and took no responsibility. He laid the blame on the government for not allowing charging of per kwh. Yes they bare moat of the blame but Electrify Canada is part of the problem and could charge a flat rate instead or if you are using one of the slower chargers only charge the $0.27 a minute rate.Instead they have chosen to gouge their customer.The only good thing about these chargers is that they were empty and available for use. The area is a bit far off of the QEW. So I will give them a 2 * rating.

The station is software limited to max 350amp to slow down charging speed in order to charge more $$$$ from customers

Most stations work (1 out of 4 is unavailable) - this has got to change. All need to work all the time. Parking is tight. Good amount of shops in the area, Cnd Tire, groceries, banks, Mcd's, etc..

Long setup process on the application but works well... The charging station in the middle isn't working currently in Nov 2022

Two of the chargers did not work.

In November 2022 used this location twice 6 hours apart on our round trip visit from Toronto to Simcoe. Our EV can handle up to 350kw charging and tried their super fast 150kw and ultra fast 350kw and the average speed on the first was 45kwh and the other was 70kwh charging. Understand that there are factors that influence the charging speed but when being charged $0.57 per charging time unit for the 150 or higher versus $0.27 per time unit for 1-90 kWh, it became a lot more expensive to charge to top up. It was not fair being able to charge at only the lower kw but paying the higher kw rate. It should have defaulted to the lower cost rate at those speeds. Was very annoyed and there was no option to choose the charging rates as it automatically detected our car’s charging rate potential. The only reason for still giving 3 stars is that there was no wait and was able to use the chargers, however still needed to move and check which connected as not all of them worked. It should ideally be 2.5*
