Disappointed by the freshness of the goods at this store. A few days ago I bought curry power and it was expired since 2021. The bake goods and plantain chips also had a stale taste. I returned the products, but I didn’t even receive an apology from them, for selling me a product that was expired for 2 years and the inconvenience of returning it.Charlie’s at morningside and finch has much more fresh products.

Good store for fish, drinks, patties and spices. A little pricey but worth it.

The store has a wide variety of products despite being small. The price is good and better than some other west indian stores. The vegetables are fresh. The owner and staff are very friendly and willing to assist wherever possible.

Great place for all ur west Indian products

A few days ago, we purchased some fish from this store. Externally, the fish looked OK, however, when I got home, the fish was uncleaned internally. It was a gross experience! The senior gentleman that helped us never stopped talking and asking personal questions about religion and giving us marital advice. It was completely inappropriate. He needs to focus and take better pride in his work. This was our first experience with this store and we will not be going back. We are happy others had positive experiences. Customers have choices and we really wanted to support but ended up being a lost opportunity for business.

Only place I can find the decent hot sauce I put on my eggs every morning

Charloo's received an average rating from me. I read the other reviews to give myself an expectation level. For me they are relatively close by and therefore convenient. It is on the small size so this footprint means it has limited variety. I got the curries I was looking for at a fair price. I was also going to purchase the Garam Masala but I believe they were outdated (as another review eluded to) so left that behind. Was also going to purchase some Peardrax but at more than $5.00 for the large bottle (it's more than I am used to paying for it) I also left that behind. Additionally the service was neither super friendly nor testy, just middle of the road. I will keep this place in mind but will see what else is out there.

Always buy our pickapepper and hot sauce here. Have breadfruit, avocado pears snd other fresh items. Very reliable. Pleasant owner and staff. Very small store crammed with products.
