Sooke Food Bank

Hey there, just leaving this feedback to let all volunteers/clients/friends know that the actual location of the Sooke Food Bank is2037 Shields Rd, Sooke, BC V0S 1N0Same location as Meals On Wheels, in the Sooke community hall. It’s across the road from the Legion and next to The Stick in the Mud coffee shop (stop there too it’s awesome).Our location is NOT out towards Shirley as directed by Google Maps.

Amazing people doing amazing work to help those in need!!! Beautiful humans doing great work for Sooke.

Wonderful volunteers with a good healthy selection of food stuff for needy people.

Super friendly, helpful, and they really care which is quite special.

Much better than i thought

Open on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Thursday of each month. Free coffee available. If you need a food box be sure to bring ID for yourself and any dependants. Super friendly and helpful volunteers. Food hampers are full of good quality and healthy foods. Parking available. Entrance on the lower side of the Sooke Hall.

Very friendly and non judgmental. Helpful for who ever drops in.

Never seen such a hard working crew!

I am a disabled senior. I had my door kicked in by the RCMP after the food bank reported to the police I was not home, even though I phoned and left a message with the Sooke food bank that I had Covid & was not able to be there until the following day. When i returned home i discovered my door and door frame damaged. It was left open & my few possessions scattered about. How am I to pay for this..you think i go to the food bank for fun? i don't have the money for a new door and door frame or the skills or physical ability to replace & repair this needlessly inflicted damage, so now I am further, isolated, insecure & afraid to leave my place. Thanks for nothing.

I've been overwhelmed with grief at Christmas, when my kid's birthday's come around (like right now) and now I'm having issues with my vehicle. Not only are they a food bank, they're very knowledgeable when helping other's and they're helping me get the best help I can at the moment. A *special* shout out and thank you for Kim, who's never stopped being there for me since the first time I met her!God Bless every single one of you and thank you for your help and time with me so far.
