Rugged Point Lodge

We went to Rugged Point Lodge a few weeks ago, and in spite of the terrible weather, we still had a great time! Plenty of big fish and and the staff and lodge were just incredible! We will never forget our experience and Ross was an amazing guide! We highly recommend this place to anybody we talk to about our unforgettable experience!

Absolutely amazing experience. The staff is friendly and the guides are the best in the business. We fished with Gary and our son and his wife fished with Kevin. This is our second trip with Gary and I can't imaging fishing with anyone else. The guides all live in the area and know it intimately. The boats and equipment are perfectly suited for this area and are first class. The lodge is spotless as are the rooms. The food is defiantly not on my weight watchers menu and is super good and plenty of it. We plan on fishing with Rugged Point again and highly recommend them regardless if your an experienced angler or looking for someplace to experience your first guided salt water trip.

What an experience! The owners Kristy & Matt have an incredible team of lodge staff and guides. They guaranteed us that we would catch fish and what a haul it was - we ate our first Chinook dinner last night! The moist, flakey Salmon surpassed any Salmon dinner I have ever had. The lodge is clean and welcoming, the staff make you feel instantly at home and accommodate your every need. Our guide Kevin didn’t give up on us when the bites were slow, he changed the bait constantly to make sure we got our daily limit and he was so patient with us if we lost a fish. Pete, the chef, served us a medley of flavourful full course meals topped off with seriously amazing desserts. The servers had personalities that were humorous and entertaining, thank you Taylor & Marie! We will be back for years to come. Can’t wait! Rob & Debra, Kelowna, BC

What a great trip. Rugged Point Lodge was an amazing experience. My father and I had a great time at the lodge. The fishing was great and the guiding was on-point. Excellent fishing, accomodations and staff! everything starting at the pickup location was amazing. the fishing was outstanding and the lodge staff and fishing guides were all excellent. everyone in our group caught our limit and left happy!

This is our forth visit and it was even better in many ways than our past trips. The location and outdoors is beautiful and worth the trip in itself. All of the staff were extremely accomodating, friendly and responsive. The food was excellent - and healthy.The logging" road in is very well maintained and much improved."

We have travelled to Rugged Pointe Lodge three times now. Absolutely Five Star Fishing Resort! Excellent Accommodation, terrific Food, wonderful Staff and Guides, Fantastic Fishing with top notch equipment! Can hardly wait to be back next summer again.

Incredible spot on Vancouver Island. Rugged Point is top drawer, great staff, fishing is fantastic. Highly recommend a visit to anyone interested in a true West Coast fishing adventure.

Where do I begin? This by far and away the best fishing trip and Lodge experience I’ve ever had. Everything here is first class, from Matt the owner, to the hospitality, the Chef, the food, and especially our Guide Kevin. Five stars doesn’t rate this experience highly enough. Pat & Tom.
