Amazing service. They are very experienced. They do not sell you items that you may not need. They ask you the right questions to make a good purchase. Their deliveries are very punctual. Great driver's too!I bought everything to do my own interlock driveway from here and continue to go back.Chris was awesome to work with from estimate to delivery.

I purchased 3 yards of gravel and requested delivery to be deposited on the trap laid out since the window of delivery was any time during the day and could not wait around to be present for such a long time. The tarp was 20' x 20' and weighed down with rock between 3-6 lbs. Yet some gravel was spilled on to the lawn. I was rather irked by that at that time, took a picture and cleaned it up since we wanted to get on with moving the load of gravel away from the driveway.About 2 weeks later I called to reorder some more since we decided to scale up the size of the patio and as a matter of fact mentioned the issue of spilled gravel. Thought it would be helpful feedback to prevent recurrence with the order I was about to make.Was asked to emailed the pic.The response after their review of the pic was that is minor and there is nothing we can do about that". This was not the quality of customer response I feel would be the hall mark of good customer service. Guelph Building Supply feels that it is. So I must be in the wrong or silly to be concerned about gravel in the lawn and any possibility of a lawn mover spitting missed gravel from the lawn at a car in the driveway. My take home perception was that Guelph Building Supply Manager is not serious about feedback for improvement. Please appreciate that people don't like to make complaints

Great customer service, communication and very professional! The staff will do anything to help you, I have even seem them run in the yard where there was a line up to serve customers faster! You wont find a better place to get building materials in the city of Guelph!

This company has been extremely frustrating to deal with. We ordered a truckload of soil and 3 days in a row they said it was going to be delivered but never was. We call and they say someone will call back but no one ever does.My credit card was charged on Monday and it's now Friday evening and I still have no soil. We have equipment here for the weekend that we can't use so now I have to scramble to find someone else who will actually deliver.The worst part is our house is less than 15 minutes away so there's no excuse for failing to deliver 3 times.

a year ago, Guelph Building Supply helped me with a patio I was planning on doing. They were amazing. Do you remember years ago when Guelph didn't have Home Depot and you could go to 2 places in Guelph and get all the help you needed? Those two places were Root Home Hardware and Stan's Plumbing. I put Guelph Building Supply in this same category. A ton of preplanning has to go into a patio, everything they did for me to complete - just the plans alone was worth it. GBS goes on my list of places I can go and get answers to whatever I'm planning, not the case every time you go to the big box stores. HD is not bad, don't get me wrong, same with Rona, but GBS is worth checking out

Fantastic experience every time I go in there. Especially for drywall, for ~$1 more per sheet it's delivered into the house for you. Fantastic service and great crew. I just had a deliver of 100 sheets and it was a bit of a walk to the backdoor and the guys did amazing. I'll be going here next time!

Excellent customer service. We were assisted all throughout the process. Recommendations and suggestions were provided to complete our project. Nice lady at front with initial SH was very accommodating and knowledgeable. She was extremely helpful.

I imagine these are great guys and a great company. However I recommend dropping dirt/gravel off at the proper address next time. I find that google maps is very helpful in determining whether I'm on the proper street or not.I also recommend leaving a business card or a notice of sort when dropping off your products. That way, if you delivered them to the wrong address, you don't have to find out 7+ hours later after your customer calls asking for their dirt.

Love everything about this business, employees that know what there talking about and value your time with prompt service. Pricing is also very competitive if not better than the big box stores

Great experience in our first season dealing with GBS,Nathan, Dawn and Shirley handle the front desk and all our requests with great efficiency and care while Mark loads us up in a timely manner. We will continue to order here for years to come.
