I have been a customer of Highwater for as long as I can remember. I enjoy just dropping by and talking fishing. The crew always provide sound advice. Grateful for having this mom and pop store" so close and on the North Shore. Can't wait to head down and start gearing up for the spring ice off."

Today, I went to this store, I really have very bad experience during shopping . I am the beginner of fishing, and I was so respect to the store staff, but the staff’s attitude was so rude, arrogant and unfriendly! I was completely shocked according to the last time I came to the store. He was so impatient to listen what I need.I wanna say that nobody is born to know how to fish, if u don’t wanna teach other, plz be respectful to others

I had to get some wading equipment for work (waders and boots) and they carry women's sizes! When I visited early last year they only had men's sizes in stock but luckily after trying again this year they had the full range of women's sizing in store. The staff were extremely helpful and they had a good variety of sizes and styles of waders and wading boots. I would highly recommend this store!

Wow! I am totally new to the sport and know very little. I went in to purchase some scents and had taken my gear with me. I’m so glad I did because Matt was extremely helpful and went out of his way to fix my setup and give me tips.His knowledge is incredible and everybody there is so friendly and helpful.Will be visiting them for sure whenever I can!

I am so happy this store exists. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. As a beginner fly fisher I was a bit intimidated as to what to purchase to get started. Matt helped me select a new rod and reel for my daughter and made some adjustments to my old rod and reel. We booked a casting lesson and Matt broke down the process into easy steps. What a great small business.

I’ve been dealing with Highwater Tackle since the early 1990’s. I’ve always received great info and tips from the staff. Always feel comfortable asking about places, techniques, when and where to fish and have been rewarded many times following their recommendations. As far as gear and clothing, I’m always happy with the selection, if they don’t have it, they will do their utmost to source my needs. Because of the great service and advice, I recommend Highwater Tackle to my families and friends.

Highwater Tackle is a great store with friendly knowable service.Jin is a great guy to chat with and knows his BC waters well. great guy to chat too if you need info on a Bonefish or Permit trip as well.

I started going to Highwater when I realized hooks were flying way too close to my face. I knew I needed a reel good coach to help me with my fly fishing technique, and Matt was the guy—Pretty fly for an asian guy I must say!Once Matt straightened me out, I eventually became quite a sofishticted angler. I began tying my own flies, and always found the supplies I needed to attract the biggest salmon… now my friends say they don’t want to fish with the “Coho Queen”.Whenever I need fishing advice, I know I can find the answers from Gill, Matt and the team at Highwater—no trout about it! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Highwater Tackle to anyone, so if you’re a new or seasoned angler be sure to drop them a line.Thanks guys!

The crew at Highwater Tackle are amazing. The got me setup with my first fly rod and have been super helpful every step since. They have a great selection of gear and supplies and are always happy to answer questions about different setups, fly tying, fishing techniques and spots. Every time I go to the shop I leave with more knowledge than I went in with, not to mention some pro tips, cool fly fishing history lessons and even some money saving advise! I've taken fly casting and spey casting lessons from Matt and can't say enough about his patience and passionate and fun approach to teaching. I'm glad this is my neighborhood shop!
