BC Employment Standards Branch - Langley Office
Uninformed staff during the complaint process. Led to a waste of my (employee) time and therefore more money. Information provided by staff about what to expect at mediation was wrong. Had to defend myself again, when I was informed it was the duty of the former employer to prove they had just cause. Very disappointed in the way the province dealt with my particular complaint, very unprofessional.

I'd give zero stars if I could.Very unprofessional, the mediator completely sided with the employer without even having the employer prove their just cause for termination. The information provided on the phone about the mediation process was the complete opposite of what happened at the actual mediation. How they're 'supposedly' upholding employment standards is beyond me.
