We were kinda worried about the Google reviews prior to moving in last November, but I'd say overall our experience has been pretty positive. As some have said there is (or was? It seems like she may have left recently) a particular person at the front desk who can be pretty surly, but the rest of the staff is generally pretty nice and accommodating. I've also found the experience of putting elevators to be much more chill/flexible than at my last building.Sometimes there are issues with elevators but honestly not most of the time, and even when there are it's not nearly as bad as my last building because there are a good amount of elevators and they're very spacious. (Half of the elevators are express elevators to the higher floors)The issues they had with A/C last summer sound awful and if I'd lived here then I would have been livid, but that issue does seem to have been resolved. There's little stuff that annoys me from time to time (the last few days there's intermittently been a beeping sound that I have no idea where it's coming from), but overall much happier with this building than Couture (28 Ted Rogers Way)

Terrible place to live, the AC has been damaged for over a week and the management announced today that the situation will extend for 2 months and they refuse to rent an AC system for the building while the fix the issue. The heat is unbearable. Not to mention that elevators are always out of service (at least one) and there are issues with the water system.Stay away from renting or buying in this building if you want to have a good time. This building is 8 years old and has multiple issues, I used to live at a building that was 30 years old and it was much better, I wish I never moved here.

Great location, nearby for everything in downtown. Most of the concierge people are friendly. The issue is, it is poorly managed here. A/C is down in the middle of summer, and the solution ends in the fall!! Almost 2 months to fix. See the comments; everyone is complaining. The Management suggestion was “Stay hydrated and don’t use the oven” seriously!! We. Every resident here bought their own portable AC.They have no backup plans for everything. When the elevator is down, it takes months to fix it!I gave 2 stars for the good location, have concierge, and enough parking.

I lived here for a year and while the condo itself was nice, the elevators for the high rise floors are a nightmare. There were only two high rise elevators and one would be broken down every 2-3 weeks and the other would be on service at peak times. They also have restrictions on guest parking which I found very strange.Would not recommend renting here unless you’re ready to wait over 30 minutes for the elevator every other day.

Worst concierge every in Toronto. The buzz machine is hard to use, the front desk is very rude.Feels like they are yelling at everyone while playing with their phone all the time.Poor residents paying high premium to be yelled at and suffering inconvenience everyday.

I visited this condo today. Several things I noticed: 1. the Lobby and the hallway are smelly. It smells like garbage or food. The lobby doesn’t feel clean or high end at all. Normally it only happens in apartment building not condo. 2. No fob required for elevator. It adds more risk and shows management team may care less about that. However the unit inside is great and location is great. That’s the only great part that may appeal ppl to move in.

I had a great experience living in this building. Although the elevators seemed to be down once a while, I didn't find it inconvenient as the others are still quick and waiting times aren't long. All the security staff are very nice and helpful. The comments about Dolly are not necessary as she is always kind to us and gets the job done! Management is good in providing us weekly updates on what is going on with the building.

I have lived in this building for 1.5 years on one of the higher floors. Please note the following reflects only my personal experience and/or opinion, and may not apply to those of other tenants.Pros:---------------------1. Location - Very central within the city. Especially close to U of T, major hospitals, as well as government buildings.2. Nearby Facilities - Easy access to groceries, banks, pharmacies, etc.3. Back side of building (Terauley Lane) is very helpful in easing traffic related to food deliveries or picking people up. This is especially true given that the main entrance is on Bay St.4. Concierge & Management - I personally disagree with some of the negative sentiments I've read about these individuals on here. My interactions with these people have been largely cordial, and many review-named individuals have gone out of their way to help my family when unusual situations arose, even when they didn't have to. Complaints are also taken seriously by Concierge and addressed promptly.Cons:----------------------Most of the cons that I have experienced living here, and the reason for the one-star review, have to do with construction-, and maintenance-related issues. I recognize that many of these are not unique to this building, but can be important factors to consider for potential buyers / tenants:1. Elevators are too few for the number of tenants. While the ratio is similar to larger buildings (i.e. one per 10-15 floors of ~10 units), it becomes problematic when the service elevator is in use during peak hours, and the ratio of elevator:tenant is suddenly halved. Larger buildings can afford this ratio because service elevator use only reduces capacity by 1/3.2. Elevators break down much more frequently than other buildings I have lived in. Sometimes for weeks at a time. This is very challenging given the above-mentioned point, and certainly exacerbated by the pandemic.3. AC for the entire building was not functional for most of the 2021 summer heat wave, with temperatures inside my unit reaching 31-32 degrees celsius. Another building in Toronto experienced this as well (was on the news). One difference was that the building provided tenants with large fans whereas this was not the case for Burano. The biggest issue here, though, is that, according to newsletters from the building, AC repair was delayed due to parts being unavailable (not stocked in general, as far as I recall) in Canada, compounded by the pandemic-associated shipping delays. Ease of access to parts should be critical when designing such a building, and it seems that it was not considered in this case.4. Power-outages are more frequent than other buildings I have lived in.5. The garbage chute does not function approximately 40% of the time I want to use it. This is all within usual hours too.6. Frequent internet/cable company advertising in the lobby. We have even received advertising emails from the building management. In a world where we are bombarded with ads, experiencing this in your own home is not ideal, and generally unwelcome.

This place is a disaster. The elevators have been broken every 2 weeks, today we climbed down 20+ floors because the two low rise elevators broke AND the management won’t program the moving elevator to go to the low rise floors. It has been over 24h and there was no concrete solution from management other than “we tried calling the tech.” Now everyone up to floor 28 are stuck in their units.Other issues: lobby constantly smells like garbage, demographics of tenants are young university students who can be loud and the walls are paper thin, constant issues with plumbing - I’ve never had to call a plumber this frequently in other units I’ve lived in, AC was broken during the heat wave and the management didn’t bother fixing it for two months. The units themselves are nice but the management is incompetent.
