Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good quality products that you may not find at the big box stores. Been coming here for a number home projects over many years. I get good advice from people that actually know what they are talking about. You don't get that at the big boxes.

Very poor customer service,I was there as regular customer but got disappointed with their customer service,bide away the owner is very nice guy, but the sales person at the front desk Asian guy I think Philippine guy is not professional and very poor scale.

My experience here in detail.As a contractor working on a condo Reno, I was trying to match some casing and backband. Originally pinevalley had no stock and referred me to central Fairbank...I couldn’t find what I needed online so I called and the rep gave me his cell number so I could text him pictures and screen shots of what I was looking for. I had an immediate response that the exact same product was in stock and I placed the order for 40’ of casing and backband for almost the same price that I had to pay at elite trim works for 24’ of baseboard.I was told I could pick up anytime between 7am - 5pm ish...elite trim only gave me a 1 hour window in the am or pm and screwed me over on the wrong size.After placing my order I was onsite within 10 min and they brought my order within a few min.When you put into consideration the pandemic and all the BS strains to deal with, this company and its employees made what I thought was going to be a nightmare a relief.More than I can say for other suppliers especially Home Depot/rona/Lowes.Good experience thanks [email protected]

No complains about their offerings and prices. However while we were making our purchase, the front desk staff scolded the gentleman, that showed us their lumber selection earlier, in an extremely rude manner. The gentleman was much older than the front desk person and still reacted calmly and respectfully. This made us very uncomfortable. The front desk person could have had the discussion privately rather than in front of the customers. Very unprofessional.

I really like the selection, quality and service in this lumber yard. Last real yard in the area. Prices are based on the market, so it can be cheaper than Big Box stores.

We went in looking for baseboard options, knowing nothing about the process. There was an overwhelming number of options but Nick was super knowledgeable and helped us narrow it down. We went home with a bunch of samples and are looking forward to having the new baseboards installed!

Not sure what all the grumbling is about on other reviews, but my experience was great!Google maps shows I was there for 7 minutes, which allowed me to:- be greeted and helped at the front desk.- find what I was looking for from a sample of siding from another store.- pay for my goods, and told to go and see shipping.- get the order from shipping, load my car and be on my way.I almost felt like it was too easy, if that makes any sense. From Yasmine at the from desk, to the guys in shipping, I couldn't ask for more!Prices are spot on with other lumber places, in and outside of the city. I try and find the best deals, and here they are under my nose, so to speak.Central Fairbank lumbers website is kinda lack-lustered, but don't let that deter you, I didn't!

I've shopped at this store for several years now. I've worked with many colleagues who have also purchased supplies regularly from Central on Gerrard. It has been an unpleasant and dreaded experience every time. EVERY TIME. The folks in the front office are the most miserable people you could ever want to meet. They don't know the product. They don't seem to care to know the product. They don't seem to care to know the customers. They don't know the stock. Or maybe they know all of this but just don't care to share the knowledge with customers. I don't know.There is something seriously wrong at this place and on a human level, I hope that the staff at the front desk, all of them, are able to find contentment somewhere in their lives. They certainly don't have it while at Central.I've had the experience of trying to deal with Randy directly before, and similarly was not cared for with much regard for my needs. It's pretty clear that my business is not valued. Not one bit.When you're in the yard trying to get your product, look out! Any walking or driving through the yard is just getting in the way of their staff!!!!! Again, you are not welcome here!!!!!!

This is the friendliest lumber yard in Toronto. Andy, Nick and the guys out back are great and are always willing to help load lumber into my vehicle. The quality is great and they had a number of profiles that perfectly matched existing trim in our home. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I have been going to this location for years and buy all my supplies here… not sure why there are so many “unpositive” reviews…The staff are great…they know their stuff, can help you figure it out if you need some help too…Inventory volume is good as is the quality of it, way better than the big box stores…the guys in the yard are great too… Andy (the elder statesman) is always looking to help…great guy.I think most of these reviews were during Covid cuz none of it makes sense…
