Marina of Portneuf

Great view of the Saint Lawrence River

Although this visit was during a sunny late afternoon, it was -18c and quite windy. I would definitely recommend a visit at any time of the year.

My partner and I spent four very pleasant nights at the Portneuf Marina on our sailboat and would recommend it highly though it seems to be little known in on-line boating reviews. The entrance is well marked with lots of depth; the marina spotless and the staff super helpful. Lots of English is spoken though your making an effort in French is, of course, greatly appreciated. The showers are in self-contained bathrooms, spotlessly clean and well cared for. And the restaurant above the marina, La Perle du St Laurent, is simply superb, offering among the best cuisine we have ever enjoyed in our extensive international travels. Sleek and elegant with stunning views of the River. Along a stretch of the St. Lawrence where good anchorages are not in abundance, do make it a point to spend a night or two at this lovely little marina. Fantastic marina, the staff were excellent and the facilities were top notch.

I bet sunrises and sunsets are beautiful but we were a little disappointed by the non romantic decor. Very little shade on a hot day. Now there's a beautiful photo exhibit though.

Too many people, not enough parking spaces, toilets aren't maintained. No toilet paper!!!

Very nice marina - beautiful place, peaceful. Recommended for a stop or stay on the St Lawrence.

This is a hidden gem that I don't think many people know about as it's not visible while driving on the main road. I recommend going here and walking around or maybe just grab a bite to eat at the waterfront restaurant.
