A friend of mine recently used the service. The nanny charged her for 4 hours of work and provided not one minute of child care. She charged for a two hour meet and greet during which the nanny left after 20 min before my friend was finished. And she charged for two hours of sitting that never happened.Beware, the sitters can and will charge your card without your consent, without providing services, and agency won’t provide any refund. There is no accountability for failure to provide services or fraudulent transactions.

As a stay at home mom Birdie has been such an incredible help. The sitter we have had is reliable, responsible and my toddler was so excited to see them again! The sitters are all background checked which put my mind at ease and we have even used Birdie while on vacation in Canmore. A night out child free is rare and it was so convenient and easy to set up even while travelling. 100% recommend Birdie!!

We had a wonderful experience with Birdie Break. Within hours of posting the day and time we needed childcare we had multiple providers interested. The providers each sent us a private message and their profiles were easy to read. It was easy to get in contact with the providers to discuss our needs.Our provider Haley arrived on time and kept the kids busy at the park, doing puzzles, building lego, and playing with play dough the whole 4 hours! Our kids had so much fun and we felt at ease knowing our kids were in good hands. We will definitely be using Birdie Break again!

Love Birdie Break! All the sitters are background and reference checked. My toddler loved her sitter and we have had her back to babysit multiple times. She even played piano for her and taught her a new song! Highly recommend!

We did Birdie Break this past weekend and it was amazing. The app made it super convenient to chose a tutor/babysitter for my 3 kids. It was the first time I was able to actually run out and finish my errands alone!

Birdie is Uber for babysitters. I've had great experiences with the sitters on here including when I was nervous with setting my little one up with a stranger. But everyone is vetted and the worst experiences I've had have really just been about not having a great fit. 90 percent of the time the sitters are wonderful (and a lot of the time they don't mind doing your dishes while you are out!). Amazing service. Hope it expands Canada-wide.

We hired our first sitter ever and we were so nervous. Thankfully, this app takes care of all the background checks and allows you to chat with the provider beforehand. I also loved that there was no upfront fee and it was included in the hourly rate. My kids loved the sitter and we'll definitely be booking again soon!

I love this service! All I had to do was book an appointment on their website and then I was sent a few profiles of sitters to choose from. Once I chose a sitter that I thought would be a perfect fit for my 2 daughters, the booking was confirmed and she showed up to our house on time. It was that easy! My kids loved their sitter. They said she was very fun, and played with them until it was bed time. I also love that I don't have to worry about stopping at the bank on the way home to grab cash to pay the sitter as Birdie just sends an invoice after the service is complete and I can pay with my credit card instead (very convenient). I will definitely be using this service again and would recommend it to anyone!!

I can’t believe how easy and comfortable I felt using the app and getting a qualified sitter for my three kids. After choosing a sitter she texted me to confirm the booking and to see if I had any questions. Sitter was punctual and kept my three busy and off screen for 4 hours while I got some work done. The kids didn’t want her to leave by the end of it they had such a great time! Will definitely be using this service again.
