Best Western Plus Norwester Hotel & Conference Centre

Very nice experience. Had thought about staying in town but the mixed reviews made the Norwester an easy choice. Stayed here a handful of times & would stay again. Thanks

The hotel was great minus a few things that made our night a little less uncomfortable. We always stay with best western so these few things are minor. Overall the stay was nice. Staff friendly, good breakfast and the hotel was clean.1. The beds are VERY firm. Usually they're a bit more soft.2. The sheets in our room felt like sandpaper. Very stiff and not soft at all.3. The water pressure was very poor.

Was at cliffhanger restaurant. Excellent customer service, pleasant atmosphere, spectacular view. I had a pickerel dinner. It was good. A little more seasoning would have made it perfect. I even requested an accomodation to the veggies that came with the dinner and they obliged without any hesitation.

Having been here for a few weddings over the last 12 years. I can say this is a good place. The venue is very scenic. The rooms are clean. The gym is rather well equipped. The restaurant is simple but tasty. The catering for the wedding was really good, and the service was very prompt. Always a good time at the Norwester.

Our new favorite hotel! Family and pet friendly. Out of the city, so there's a more relaxed feeling - but still close enough that it is convenient.... with a breathtaking view!The food in the restaurant is delicious and fairly priced, and there's enough variety on the menu that our family was able to enjoy the food for the entire weekend. There are also more than enough restaurants in the area if you decide you don't want to eat in the hotel restaurant.The complimentary hot breakfast beats other hotels - it's actually a hot breakfast, not in the continental format.The pool and gym are absolutely fabulous!The customer service is great :) The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean.A shuttle service to the airport makes flying convenient (coworkers have utilized this service.

Stayed here from May 26th to 27th. $274 after tax for a middle of the road hotel room with double beds was certainly not worth the price, especially when we only had the room for 10 hours before we had to check out. I was told $209 all-in over the phone prior to booking. Broken lock on the sliding door leading from our room to the parking lot was a nice touch. Breakfast was alright and the hotel rooms were clean, but I expected more from a chain hotel.

Drove through Thunder Bay twice. I am a Diamond select member very loyal to best western. Both times I stayed at this hotel with my children I was given a nasty room in the basement.We do not smoke and both times I was given rooms that people smoked in 100%. Very out dated for the price of $250. People outside in the hall at 1am..small double beds. Old room, old doors, old patio door, smells,I stayed in 10/10 rooms on the top floor with kitchens in them and luxury king beds for $160. The room I slept in in the basement I wouldn’t pay $69 for it.The hotel is nice and inviting but once you open the door to your room the feeling changes.Definitely won’t be staying again.

I love the location of the Best Western Plus Norwester. With the mountains out the window, it felt like we slept right next to another Sleeping Giant! I really appreciated the cleanliness of our room. I love the smell and feel of clean white linen. Having all white bedding feels luxurious. The pool is a good size and the temperature was perfect. The hot tub was great too. We were very comfortable here.

Great experience, save for my dinner. The chicken alfredo was exceptionally bland, and I should have saved the $8 that I spent on the shrimp add on. I think the Norwester has discovered a new species of shrimp and they need to name them toothpick shrimp, on account of their size. Breakfast was a different story, the eggs benny and finn pancakes were top notch. All of the staff we interacted with were very pleasant. Tried to get a room for our next venture to Thunder Bay, sadly they're fully booked.

Staff were incredibly helpful, kind, and friendly! Hotel was very clean and welcoming. The views are some of the best of any hotel in Thunder Bay.Loved the pool, sauna, and hot tub! But seriously, every staff member we encountered were upbeat and friendly at every turn.Breakfast was alright. The second day was a buffet and the restaurant was busy. Staff worked hard but needed some extra hands.We definitely will be back again when time allows.
