Disgusting that the person running this attacks others for doing the same job… slander and defamation of character on social media for those who aren’t on the same page .. will NOT recommend this place to anyone needing rat assistance !!! SHAME ON YOU !!!!!!

I only have positive things to say about this place. The lady who runs this place is kind, friendly and very knowledgeable. I have learned a lot from her because she makes her self available to help. If you are looking to adopt a healthy rat and truly help, adopt from The Ottawa Rat Rescue. And if you are looking to become a foster for pet rats, this is also one of the best place to goand so very knowledgeable. It is really reassuring to learn

They are one sided extremist, who will attack anyone who doesn't agree with them. They will post slanderous comments against you and then not let you defend yourself. They are their to support their view and beliefs not all in the Rat community.

I called needing advice on a dying rat and they picked up right away every time. They were knowledgable and extremely nice, making me feel better. When I had her put to sleep they talked me through it and I even called to ask questions while I was at the vet. Great rescue. Theyre kind and caring.EDIT: my last rat is sick. I called them at 9pm and they picked up. They talked to me for a long time giving me lots of info. I really really appreciated it.

The op rat rescue goes above and beyond to help rats. I adopted from the rescue first in 2017 and was rlly grateful of all the info we were given when adopting. They make sure you have all the info you need to properly take care of your rats!

I HAD a lot of respect for the Ottawa Pet Rat Rescue, to the point we gave donations during fundraisers. That was until recently.I can only say there are TWO sides to every story, and then there is the truth that lies somewhere between the two. I don't pretend to know the TRUTH.But both sides, be it breeder or Rescue, have seen their fair share of bad stores, and both have their backs up.But the way the Ottawa Rat Rescue has gone on to attack with only one side publicly is downright wrong and reeks of vigilantism.Recently, Ottawa Pet Rat Rescue started attacking a local breeder.What bothered me was how they did it. The attacks by the Rescue both on Facebook and the Blog were made so that the breeder could not share their side, along with the fact that anyone who commented or gave an opinion was not in line with the Ottawa Pet Rat Rescue was deleted. It turned into a slander war to the point the Rescue started contacting members of the breeders' Facebook group and warning them of her." The breeder has no way to defend herself

They are amazing. They have a lot of knowledge about rats and do above and beyond to help.
