So grateful we chose Black Gold for our son! Mike & Pascale are so wonderful and have created such a lovely community. They are patient and kind with the kids while teaching them and allow them to really practice and learn Jiu Jitsu. My son LOVES coming here and honestly I do too!! My younger son now wants to try. Such a great sport for kids to participate in with the best coaches. Try it out you won't regret it.

A passion for teaching and attention to detail are apparent when you walk through the doors. This academy is such a great place to learn, it's clean, spacious and the other students bring a great vibe. I came in from out of town for their grand opening and was welcomed like family. Nothing I can write will give this school the props they deserve. An amazing place, with amazing people. You can go hard or you can go light. A great atmosphere for all levels of Jiu Jitsu students. Black Gold Jiu Jitsu encompasses everything positive within the grappling community. They truly emphasize Jiu Jitsu for everyone. On any given Sunday it is common to see a mixture of schools sharing the mats and their passion for Jiu Jitsu. Along with their fantastic fundamental principles professor Michael Hay is a fantastic instructor. The attention to detail and knowledge he shares shows his love for the sport, and passion for teaching others. I can speak from first hand experience when I say after he’s done teaching the kids class, the parents have to drag their kids away. They are having so much fun while learning an important life skill and developing discipline without realizing it. Amazing place with amazing people! We met Mikey and Pascale just before the gym opening and I knew they would become family! We are newbie to BJJ but it doesn’t matter at Blackgold everyone is welcome and everyone is helping. Mikey and Pascale do everything they can to make sure everyone has the best BJJ experience.
