I morne my cat. My heart is heavy, I am trying hard not to be consumed by anger. This clinic was asked to do a thorough full check-up including blood work on our two rescue cats to ensure they did not have any diseases. The clinic gave us the okay, that they were completely healthy. Months later, after having exposing our kittens to a household of 4 other cats, we find out our baby had FVR on our SECOND visit. The vet knew the first time, as it was on the record. What an unprofessional, irresponsible move that was. The other cats needed testing after that.We took our business elsewhere. The next clinic we went to, told us that he ALSO HAD extreme heart arythmia. Yet another thing Shoal Lake failed to mention. It's been 11 months since we had the kitties, and on his final days, we rushed him to an out of province ER & on the spot we found our he had Severe FIV(yet another missed disease). He passed away the next day.Thanks to the oversight & neglegence of the Shoal Lake Animal Vet clinic, & the other, our baby passed away suddenly. If only we knew at the start, he could have had a better chance at a relatively normal life. Mistakes do happen, but with this review I hope that it brings the importance to surrounding Vet clinics to be more thorough at your jobs, & share ALL the necessary information needed for your customers to understand the illnesses in their pets.Ps: The staff are judgemental, & rude.

I wish there was a negative star rating. We took our male pup here Jan 2016 for a simple neuter. When we dropped him off, we voiced our concerns to the vet and assistants there, that he is a dog that will be determined to get at his surgery incision if not monitored. And we asked if we could bring him home for the night and bring him back in the morning, because we lived right by the vet office. They told us that he would be grogy and sleepy from the anesthetic" and that he would not ecren notice his wound and assured us they would keep a close eye on him

Would’ve been nice if they had one chair so somebody like myself that has bad sciatica could sit for a minute

Dr. Bruce will always hold a special place in my heart. He has helped me thru so many difficult and often impossible seeming decisions. He never hesitates to help when we call at ridiculous hours and always has a kind and gentle demeanour towards the fur kids and ourselves. I appreciate this clinic beyond words

Amazing staff, it's weird to have to say this but they seem to really care about your animals. My girls got vasectomies, and the staff kept the doggies over night to make sure there was no complications at no extra charge. I've used a lot of veterinarians in my day and this has to be best.

Wonderful care for our senior dog. Dr Heather Waddell's professionalism and compassion were outstanding!

Always a pleasant and reasonable experience. I.ve dealt with other veterinary clinics in the past, first hand and with other peoples animals, due to house sitting their pets. I will not take my animals anywhere else, assuming it isn't life threatening if I happened to be far away.
