I came across Jack McVicar Law Firm inadvertently and so glad I did.They were able to process and help close my real estate sale of my home, on very short notice and I had them process the purchase of my new home and the issuance of a Will.Nicholas and the entire Staff, were very polite, professional, punctual and have the knowledge to get the job done. I would highly recommend them.

I am not a client of this firm at all . They are Not professional when dealing with non-clients period. Nick’s mannerisms are confrontational, and aggressive. Certainly not one I would hire .

I hired Nicholas Hill to close our house and purchase our new one. Throughout the entire process Nicholas was always available and flexible when I called with questions or concerns and he always took the time to make sure they were answered. All the staff in the office are professional and friendly. I am very happy with their services and would use them again!

Mr. Hill has not been very helpful at any point, from closing to post closing complications. He seems very unwilling to help with issues and doesn't have answers or post sale support. For example, we got carbon monoxide poisoning form the furnace in the home we bought and he could not offer support to for going after the seller as a latent defect, problems with road maintenance etc. he is unwilling to contact the Township that sent him documents saying the road is maintained by them. I would not recommend.

I would highly encourage you to look elsewhere. The gentleman I had to speak with was Very unprofessional, rude, and confrontational. The people at this firm try to intimidate community members who have nothing to do with their business and they (Bonnie) act on behalf of others who have not even retained their services.In my professional opinion Lawyers and/or Law Clerks representing their neighbors and or friends as a favour certainly should not be contacting members of the community using their lawyer licence and /or firm name as intimidation. What an awful way to operate your business.

We've had multiple property transactions over the last 15 years and always used this law firm. Jack was a sharp and intuitive lawyer and our visits to his office were a pleasure. Since he passed and Nick took over the reigns the quality and professional service has remained and we sold and bought more properties. Bonnie and the administrative staff back up the legal side with their friendly and knowledgeable help. Now we live in Huntsville but would still travel back to Peterborough for legal services if required. Highly recommended.
