Winners

I went into Winners to buy some new clothes, and I decided to pick up a napkin holder as well, since for the past four months, I've just had an open bag of napkins sitting on the hutch near my table.The clothes were good and affordable. However, I'm pretty sure the cashier who checked me out stole my napkin holder. When I went to check out, the lady said that she really liked it and that it was a good find. She scanned it first, and then moved on to scanning my clothes. Then she bagged everything up and walked around the cashier station to give me my bag, diverting my attention away from the scanning area, where I assume she stored the napkin holder.Later, I realized that the napkin holder was not in my bag but was on the receipt, and while it might have just been a mistake, I kind of hope she did steal it. It's kind of awesome and she was so slick about it, that I can't even be mad.I also got a great Maya Angelou shirt.

Good prices, not always friendly staff. Asked for a discount on damaged item and refused.

It's Winners, so you're likely always going to find yourself some sort of good deal here. However, I find this location in particular to always feel very crowded, messy and just a little chaotic overall. In addition, I find the home section to always be mediocre at best and stock levels for those type of products to be lacking.

**Winners** is a store that sells brand name and designer fashions at affordable prices. The store has a variety of clothing, accessories, shoes, home decor, and more. Winners is a good place to shop if you are looking for something new and different without breaking the bank.

Lots of products, seems a bit crowded with people, busy during the day. They have home decor, ladies/men’s/kids/baby clothing, lots of shoes, some beauty products, mirrors, pet items (mostly dog stuff). There is lots of cute stuff so you can definitely get stuck here for a while, it is a Winners of course.

Before Christmas, I visited this store. A busy time of year. I was looking for a particular coat in size small. Other locations had only large sizes. There was a small here. The only difference was the price at all other stores was 129.99. Here it was 249.99. Big difference. The cashier was very honest and when she scanned the tag said that the tag was switched. She said she had to talk to her supervisor. After talking to the supervisor she came back to tell me the higher price was correct, take it or leave it. I explained that it was cheaper at all other stores and that I would be going to one of them with the coat. I paid for the coat and took it to Marshall's Cambridge Centre. I showed the coat and bill to the supervisor there who knew immediately that the price was wrong. As they did have the coat in the larger size, she was able to refund the wrong price and charge me the correct price. Honesty rates very highly with me. I sent a review to Winners and received a form letter back stating that they would do training. Training to teach what?--dishonesty?? Honesty and dishonesty are not things you should have to teach good staff. Perhaps dishonesty is their new policy. Today I was at Winners Fairview Mall. I wanted to buy a small decorative box. I have been buying these boxes for years. I am familiar with pricing. I had just come from Marshall's on Fairway Road. They had only large ones. I went to the mall Winners. They had 2 boxes, one large, one small. I took the small that I was looking for. At the cash we found no price on the small box. I explained that there was only one other box but it was large. She called for staff to check, and the staff came back and told her there was no other small box. She called a supervisor. He said he would check the shelf. He told her to charge me the same price as the large box! More dishonesty. I did not buy the box! I guess it is common today for companies to try to cheat the public and blame it on covid. It's not covid. It's greed and lack of customer service. It's sad to see this policy seeping into Winners, Homesense, Marshall's, a place we hope to get a deal.

Word of caution because this had happened to myself. I was shopping at this location. I did not realise I had dropped my toque a day later I realized that I lost it at this location. I went back ask team member to check the lost and found unfortunately it was not there. The team member and I walked over to the area where the winter accessories where located. We both looked and I happened to find it for sale. The team member apologized and ripped off the sale tag and gave the toque back. I was told the team member that they just hired a bunch of new staff. I understand that new staff might not realize the difference. But just look at the item that your going to purchase.

Rude behaviour from the old lady at the counter number 3 on 22nd March 2023. No respect for the customers. She gave bad response to my enquiry. Also, she made fun about it. I'm not visiting this store again in my lifetime because of her attitude.
