Adventuress Sea Kayaking

Booked a last minute sunset tour and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our week! Jeff was an engaging, helpful and patient guide and we all quickly got the hang of it! Thanks so much! We will definitely be back!

Went on the Gulf Islands tour, and it set a new high bar for adventure tours! I had never kayaked before, and most of my group were also beginners, but Jeff and Caroline were thorough and fun teachers and built our confidence. When one of our group got sick on day 2 they took such kind and thoughtful care of her, while also continuing a great day for the rest of us. I was blown away by the good food, and really by the whole experience. Highly recommended!!

Amazing tour to see the sea lions. We also saw some Harbour seals as well.As a beginner, it was a great experience for everyone. Jan and Zeena are very pleasant. They shared great information about kayaking and also the area, sealife and scenery.I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone in the area.

We had a nice sunny warm day for the Winchelsea Islands tour. We got good opportunity to see lots of seals, with seals popping up around us as we sat still in our kayaks. The kayaks (doubles) felt nice and stable. The guide (Jerimiah) was knowledgeable about the area and the sea life and also showed us purple star fishes. It was definitely one of the highlights of our visit to Vancouver Island.I did notice that with water sandals on, my heels were bare. So, when I was operating the rudder, my heels were resting on the floor of the kayak which was hard and had bits of sand (mostly hard surface). So, if I had to do it again, I would wear water shoes that provide some support/protection for the heels of my feet. Note - this isn't a fault of Adventuress Sea Kayaking....just my tender feet.

I organized a group of six woman for a sunset paddle; every one of us felt the experience was extraordinary. Our guide, Elizabeth, shared a lot of useful and interesting information with us (including how to paddle a kayak!). The weather was perfect; the sunset fantastic. We even met a few harbour seals along the way. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Adventuress Sea Kayaking to anyone interested in kayaking in the Parksville/Qualicum Beach area.

Call a couple of days in advance for booking because their tours might be full! I booked a last minute sunset paddle which was supposed to be great for beginners, and it was! The experience was relaxing, fun and we got to paddle past spectacular scenery to the Coast Mountains and see the gulf islands. The meet-up location varies according to the tide but we met at the end of Terrien Road in Nanoose. Our kayak guide, Jan, was experienced, very kind and super patient. Overall, the experience was absolutely positive and I highly recommend it, specially for beginners.

Jan was an excellent tour guide. She gave very good instructions for using the kayaks. We used the tandem kayaks and they were very stable and had rudders which made them easy to steer. Jan and Jim were very friendly and gave us lots of information about the area. We took the sunset tour and the scenery was so incredibly beautiful. I would highly recommend this tour.

Excellent experience but being endnof season my kayak needed a tune up, the steering was loose so kept going down boat where I could not reach, guide was great at putting a tow rope on, we saw Harbour seals and lots of star fish

They make you feel understood and welcome. The cost for classes is surprisingly low for how much we did and the time they take to focus on each student.I highly highly recommend Adventuress. And thank you Jan and Jeff, I'm confident on the water AND know what I'm doing thanks to you! ; )

Great tour of the gulf islands with Adventuress. It was not the type of trip I ever could have planned or executed on my own. Our guides Caroline and Jeff were very friendly and went the extra mile to help us spot wildlife. Our group felt well taken care of - and well fed! Considering the skill of the guides, instruction, gear included, food and duration of the trip I thought it was very affordable too. Thanks for an amazing adventure!
