Health Sci is my favorite library on campus to study at. It has a reputation for being quiet that it holds up to day in and day out. It's a shame it closes earlier than most other libraries. The reason for the duduction of a star is for the reason that Hsl does not provide cleaning wipes. Although it is relatively cleanly I don't think I should be required to bring my own wipes to avoid getting a sickness left by the person before me.

The Health Science Library is hands down the best library on campus when it comes to atmosphere and amenities. It is an unspoken rule among students that this place is a safe haven for those who truly want to study, unlike the cesspool that is Thode. With a variety of desktops, a large, more informal lounge downstairs, and a variery of semi-private deskspaces, this place is perfect to finish up an essay or participate in a group project in a hushed manner. That's for the three stars. However, no library can bask simply in its offerings and function. No, we must take a look at the atmosphere and form of this near-perfect educational meccah. To get to the first floor, students must walk upstairs and then walk downstairs. I appreciate the library's adherence towrards our physical well being, but this is such a logical and architectural oversight. There is no door to the first floor of HSL. Why?This is the question we must be asking to our representatives.

Proper library that is quiet enough and has a self-studying area downstairs that is brightly lit facing many windows. Miles ahead of Thode's silent study area which is dark and depressing. The open glass atrium is also a plus.

One bear sculptures by Pauta Saila, and one large whalebone sculpture, unknown artist, maybe Billy Merkosak. Need local confirmation.

HSL is a wonderful library and probably the most joyous one on campus. It provides a diversity of services, like the librarians aiding in literature searches, and a diversity of experiences: the measured liveliness around the desktops of the second floor, the hushed quietude of the cubbies on the first floor, and the picturesque serenity of the glass room. My only reason for dropping a star off the review is the fact that there is no direct entrance to the first floor of the library, and patrons have to make the Sisyphean journey of walking up the stairs only to walk down another set of stairs. Surely, this is an accessibility concern as well, as those using the elevator have to traverse two sets of elevators just to go from the first floor of the HSC to the first floor of HSL. This is easily the most common complaint against the library; other than that, HSL is great.

A multitude of silent study spaces. Numerous shelves full to the rim of books that, unfortunately, are not being read often. A room known as the “History of Medicine” room, with scriptures and text dating from the conception of health care to modern, picturesque textbooks full of anatomical specimens. These are but a few benefits of this magnificent library. However, one glaring fault prevents it from being the best library on earth. After a long day of classes, one wishes to access this amazing facility, to do a little bit of reading or just hanging out with fellow students.Unfortunately, one must have to traverse an entire staircase to enter this library, because it has no entrance on the first floor.Where is the door?

I really like the library but so does everyone else. Be careful of peak times as desk space can fill up quickly.
