Been going to Georgian bay for years and parked for free, now every thing has changed. Instead of my truck being towed away, for parking illegally, I parked at Thompson marine for $10.00 a night. Which I thought was a pretty good idea and your truck was still there when you come back!

The marina staff are lovely. The location. Is beautiful and it has easy access to the lake the marina itself is rustic. They have washrooms and a shower. They have a boat launch. But no pool etc. It's very isolated. A lot of the slips are used for cottages with boat only access. So it's quiet and peaceful. It depends on what you want or need from a marina if it would meet your needs.

I have been coming up here for 10 years this place is for the locals this is the end of the road there's not much reason for anyone to come here other than those that should be here people that are not from around here are not welcome there's not a lot of public facility mostly people come here to get in their boat and go where they're going they own Cottages around here and they slip up their boats here as a means of transportation point of barrel is a much more hospitable destination for travelers which shops food bait coffee chips and the light visitors are much more welcome the Bayfield Lodge offers accommodations for Fishers and hunters and people passing through the Bayfield Lodge has a store a dock and boats for their customers

Great place and people are there.Beautifull landscape, took a lot of pictures there. Will come back again.
