Attended afternoon Tea at this fabulous historic house! Tea with dainty sandwiches and sweets were SO good. Very satisfying. Tour of house was very interesting!

Went to a Celebration of Life.Was awesome place to honor,a Fablous Lady.Her grandchildren enjoyed the great green space.And a great place to visit family.Had a wonderful tea etc.Great place,for gatherings.

Mackie Lake House Foundation
We had both my sister's wedding and my mom's birthday at Mackie. Both events were a huge success as the venue offered a stunning backdrop and plenty of green space for the guests. Logistically, the parking, set-up, and access to washrooms were very easy. The staff were organized, accommodating, and flexible (particularly during COVID-19). I cannot recommend Mackie enough for your next special event!

6 of us booked to do a tour of the Mackie house and were delighted with the experience. Thank you Valerie for showing us such a unique look into the lives of the Mackie's and the architecture of the time. Your stories made the place come alive for us. We were a family of young and old who all enjoyed the tour. It was so fun to talk at dinner about our favorite parts. I do recommend that you phone and make an appointment.

Was so much fun. Came for Mother's Day and had a lovely historic tour. The food was good. Be better to have more sandwiches and less sweet in my opinion. But was good.

My family and I had a private tour and haven’t stopped talking about the experience! The home is beautiful, the stories are endless and Valerie (our tour guide) was lovely and knowledgeable.It is a beautiful place to spend an afternoon and learn about the families who have occupied that space.I highly recommend visiting!We will be back for any Mackie House events!

It was a lovely walking round with our guide who told us fascinating stories of the people who had once lived there. Wonderful experience stepping back in time to how life was like in those days.

We attended a wedding there on the weekend. Gorgeous heritage house, beautiful grounds and superb food! I would have loved to look around the inside of the house, as i have a heritage house too, built in 1915. I did step just inside the door, saw 2 rooms, the sitting room and dining room, both were absolutely beautiful! ❤

Mackie Lake House Foundation
As the Mackie House is a part of History; COVID-19 will also make its mark in time. We enjoyed our visit today as Valerie made sure the site was sanitized and safe. We were very intrigued with the craftsmanship of the home and all the original pieces of art hung on the walls to enjoy. Valerie was well versed in describing the family history and sharing some of their stories. It was a great afternoon!
