Such a cool experience! We arrived about 15 minutes before the road opened, and it was so interesting seeing the water gradually leave the road, then driving across it.

We misjudged the tide and spent roughly 6 hours exploring the trails and beach...plenty to see if this should happen to you....was great way to disconnect and enjoy nature

May 2nd, 2023: was OFF season and CLOSED but several hikers were on the island with us. Loved the experience of driving across / on the sea floor, during low tide. The summer estate of Van Horne holds so much historical treasure !!! We ventured down to the sea floor from the bottom of the bathhouse and peaked into the windows of the “cottage” and barn. It’s a must if visiting the St. Andrews area.

A beautiful scenic entrance to the road across tge sea floor to minister Island. Tons of shells and you can walk on the ocean floor. Minister island was very interesting. The barn and the home and all the other buildings we looked were amazing. A beautiful island. It's well maintained. Some repairs are being done to some buildings, due to their age. . The whole experience was fantastic. A must see for everyone.

So cool u can walk over the natural seabed/drive when tide is out.We haven't actually gone to the island yet, but plan to in near future.There is an admission to enter, but its not outrageous!

A must go if you go to St. Andrews. This cool road on the ocen floor. It is a cool experience on its self, but were it takes you is amazing. The beautiful Minsters Island. So full of history and natural beauty! Can't wait to go back. The photos I posted are of Minsters Island.
