Waterloo Lost Property Office & Bar, London: The secret bar so secretive that we became the lost properties of the evening! Located at the Tap Brew dog bar at the sprawling Waterloo station. There is a secret black telephone that you must dial in for that Kingsman experience. The staff comes get you. You’re enveloped in a plushy lounge speakeasy experience. It’s quite an experience to behold. The cocktails are world class. It’s either a hit or miss for some. It’s that complex and layered with the flavours. It’s true innovation and so well presented. We had such a great Gatsby night out here. #eatstylishtravelstylish

Went in yesterday to find a backpack I accidentally left on a SWR train the day before. I didn’t have high hopes after reading these reviews. I’d filed a report on MissingX, but hadn’t heard anything after 24 hours, so I went in. I provided a thorough description of my bag, and the attendant found it in a few minutes for me! I was in and out in under 10 minutes. It was such a breeze. Can’t slight the service at all—I’m so so grateful to have my bag back!! Many thanks to all of the employees who pointed me in the right direction and who brought my bag to lost property.Edit: I have to edit this review to say I left ANOTHER backpack on a train, a full year later, and after several days and my hope slowly deflating (lost on Friday, checked back Monday through Wednesday in person), they found it and returned it to me yet again! I have the incredible staff to thank for their kindness and communication. The same guy helped me three days in a row, and he was so unbelievably kind. He even remembered my description of the bag. Thank you guys for saving my a** yet again!!

OMG! What a brilliant service. Was totally sceptical that my sons school bag with blazer, all his books and a chrome book would be found and handed in after logging it on missingx. It was and the chap at lost property was really lovely too! Thank you so much

As mentioned by others, it’s absolutely mandatory to visit the lost property office at Waterloo if you want to have a thorough check on whether your goods have been found.I foolishly left an expensive pair of jeans with the receipt in the bag on a train. I got off the train at Woking and it’s last stop was Portsmouth. As reccomended, I registered them as missing on the MissingX App and after 2 weeks there was no notification to say that they had been found. However, I went to the South Western trains office at Waterloo and they found them within 5 mins, still in the bag and with the receipt included. Needless to say, I’m extremely grateful for their friendly service. That said, it’s a shame that they did not update the MissingX App as they should, not everyone can get back to Waterloo and there is no telephone number for their office. Two lessons learned 1. Don’t lose your goods and 2. Don’t trust the MissingX App.

I was initially skeptical that I'd ever see the bag I lost again, especially seeing a lot of negative reviews on here. However, my experience with the Lost Property team at SWR has actually been overwhelmingly positive. Staff were friendly and answered all of my questions, taking time to explain why it was taking a while to get my bag retrieved and letting me know when to go back and check again. I am glad to say that my bag has now been found and I am very grateful to the team at Waterloo

On Sunday I’d lost my AirPods at the other end of the line (on the other side of the country), Monday I posted about it on MissingX and by the Wednesday I received an email telling me it had been found and sent to the lost property office at Waterloo! Couldn’t have asked for a better service- super kind, friendly and prompt. My only concern would be for people who aren’t able to get to Waterloo, but you are able to send someone on your behalf.

Having picked up my lost rucksack containing my laptop and numerous other, not valuable, but irreplaceable items I am obviously pleased but I was actually really impressed with the service. The day I left my bag on a train, I emailed and received a prompt response. I went to Waterloo, where the train was heading and was advised to try the ticket office because that would be the first port of call for a lost item. No luck there but, reassuringly, they had been contacted by Lost Property about my lost item. I subsequently emailed LP on a fairly regular basis and always had a response. They explained that it could take a little while if it was retrieved at another station. After nearly a week I received an email telling me my bag was in lost property so I went to collect it. All contents were intact.

Genuine and helpful staff that reply to emails promptly and helped me retrieve my bag that I doubted I’d ever see again. Honestly couldn’t ask for more. :D

South Western Railway at its best. Left a bag en route to work on a train at Waterloo Station.Sent an email that same afternoon... received an email 2 hours later stating my bag had been found and was available for collection. Many thanks to Julian who emailed me and who was also there to hand over my bag upon collection, as well as the members of staff who ensured my bag got to lost property.I am grateful and thankful for the service... all in a days work!
