I really appreciate that the academy puts an emphasis on tailoring tutoring to the individual needs of each student. A large amount of preparation and forethought goes into providing programs and materials that facilitate a quality learning experience. Management at this location is also very well organized and genuinely cares about providing an exceptional service!

A truly amazing place. I have been to over 5 different tutoring places, and can say that the Academy is by far the best! Their tutors are very knowledgable, kind, and patient. Kim is great for chemistry and David and Homa are the best for math. I always feel welcomed and appreciated when I go in! Highly recommend!

I came to the Academy of Mathematics & English being somewhat illiterate in the language of math. Being out of school for some time, my ability to solve arithmetic and mathematical based word problems was severely lacking. This became important for me to learn, as I was preparing for an employment aptitude test which focused heavily on these subjects. From the start of the process to the end my experience was amazing. Adina (the academy director) worked with me and developed a curriculum based on my needs. She showed patience and a willingness to slow things down, going into more detail when needed. Adina also took the time to research the test I was preparing for in order to make sure I was fully prepared for whatever came up. If you are someone who is looking for some help in math I highly recommend this Academy. Especially if you are preparing for an employment entrance exam for the fire department, police, or military. The academy has been so helpful for both my daughters who were struggling with math. Adina was so patient with them and I was thrilled when all of their hard work paid off in the form of higher grades. I would definitely recommend them.

As parents of a child with ASD, it has always been a struggle to find the best/right services for our daughter. The Academy of Mathematics & English in Newmarket received us with a very honest and open approach to learning. The director, Adina, did not even flinch when my daughter's diagnosis was mentioned at our first meeting. This, above all, was the most wonderful feeling a parent could have as it affirms the right every child has to reach their highest potential in life. Adina was straight forward and advised us that it does indeed take time to see progress, and gave a very modest response of approximately a year for significant improvement. It has been roughly six months and our daughter has not only flourished academically (a retest to compare with the initial intake test for proof), but mentally as she is a stronger and more confident person. I would sell my right foot (if I had to) to ensure that she continued at this academy because never has she been treated with such respect and equality in a learning environment as she has at this academy. Much love to all of the tutors who take my daughter on a regular basis, and make it their goal to ensure she fully and completely understands the concepts they are teaching. This Academy has recognition, but definitely not enough!!

The Academy is an amazing learning centre! The director of this location does an incredible job of facilitating a positive and welcoming environment for all. Learning material is always kept organized and up to date. Additional resources like online applications and hands on models are available to assist the diverse needs of learners K through 12. The unique setup of The Academy allows students to remain focused and engaged throughout each lesson-- which is crucial to their academic success! I could not recommend this place more!

Both of my kids attend and I've been pleased with the results. They weren't struggling with Math, but I wanted to have some of the gaps filled in as well as give them a leg up with their current math curriculum. They both seemed to find their math classes at school easier and less frustrating (particularly for my son) and I have definitely noticed their confidence in math has increased dramatically. I researched at length the various tutoring options before registering my kids for the Academy of Mathematics & English and I've very happy with my decision.

Our daughter is an honours student, however, she was struggling with Grade 10 academic math. We enrolled her at the Newmarket Academy this past semester and had excellent results. Their thorough and personalized instruction has given our daughter the confidence and comprehension to achieve excellent marks throughout the semester and maintain her honour roll standing. Would highly recommend.

This academy is run so beautifully and I absolutely love my experience here!
