Furnace stopped working while I was gone for most the winter. Called and got a technician to come out in a couple days. Josh was very knowledgeable, professional, and quick with his diagnosis. He was courteous in giving me multiple options of repair/replacement/upgrades, prices and timeliness. Ended up saving a little bit of money as well. Excellent service so far.

I gave this company a chance to make it right but they didn’t want too.I first had them come out to fix my heater, which they did, but replaced the broken part with an inferior part they had to manipulate to make it work. And was very expensive. The furnace worked for a few months and then broke again. So I had them out a second time for a consultation. They tested and told me which part needed to be replaced. I paid the $125 for the advice and the ordered the exact part and replaced. After it would still not work. So I called them back and explained I would like them to either try again or refund me for the wrong advice. (Which they do have a satisfaction guarantee statement on there website). This upset them and they blew me off and said we should just part ways. I tried calming them down enough to have a reasonable conversation and that I just wanted my furnace fixed before winter. But they would not work with me.It is sad that there is no customer service and they just want the easy jobs. I do feel they are taking advantage of people with the limited contractor availability on Island.I am out a little bit of money but hopefully the next company will be better.

After over a year of anxiety over a botched roofing job where the furnace exhaust was decapitated inside the attic, this competent crew got things back to normal. Extremely professional and competent, they were on the roof, in the attic and at the furnace. At this time, we (wife and I) are very relieved and happy to have our furnace working again. *EDIT*We were told that we’d get a quote the next couple of days so when Thursday rolled around, I called & the receptionist verified they had our email address correct. It’s now going into Wednesday the next week & still no estimate. We tried a few other Island companies to try to keep it local because we really do want to but ended up going off island with someone that called back within 24 hours & scheduled a new furnace and a/c for installation on Saturday.I understand completely about being short staffed; the entire world has been for 2 years. I also understand emergencies but from how the receptionist talked, it didn’t appear that was the case: it was business as usual.For your next customer, Please send an estimate in a timely manner or at least text to say it’s being worked on. If you don’t have time, that’s ok to say so we’re not left hanging.I wish you well.The technicians came out & told us what we suspected: that we could do a costly repair or replace our furnace. They were able to get in touch with their boss, who came out to see what we had so he could email us an estimate for a new unit, as ours was at the end of its life after 15 years. They were very nice & we hope to be working with them in the future, as they’ve done All the maintenance on our unit from the start.They also told us when we replace the furnace, we can also put in the motor for A/C, then the actual unit at another time, if needed. Very professional & appreciated.

The technician who came was very curtious and friendly. Explained every thing to me.My issue is that it took 3 attempts to contact Island Heating before I received a response. I understand that with the cold weather, they were busy, but it would have been helpful if they had at least contacted me.Also, it would be great if they could have a routine service in the fall to change my filter.

Michael was super knowledgeable and very helpful. He took his time to make sure that everything needed to be repaired was fixed and he took extra time to make sure that our new thermostat was put in properly for us as well. He’s very knowledgeable and an amazing person who actually cared about making sure that our heating and air-conditioning system was fixed properly excellent customer service, and he took the time to explain what needed to be done and how it was going to be fixed. This business was very nice and I didn’t have to wait long to get the parts and have the job finished.

Very disappointed in this company, especially after reading the promising reviews. Our furnace stopped working in the middle of the night when temps dropped down in the ‘teens. Woke up to a temp of 50 inside the house. Called this company and had to leave a voicemail. Didn’t hear anything back all day so I called again…nothing. Well I understand that there are more people in the area that I’m sure needed help as well so I was understanding. I call again the next day and get sent to voicemail again. And guess what? Never a call back to even say “sorry we are completely booked” or to refer us somewhere else at least. I’m even more disappointed that they obviously knew temps were that low, my voicemail said we had no heat, and they couldn’t even make time for a call back.
