Restaurant La Fondue Du Prince
Three of us arrived without a reservation on one of the first really fine Friday evenings in June and the promenade along the canal was hopping. We'd checked out the website, read some of the reviews and decided to take a chance in spite of the comments about the service.When walked in from the street side we did have to wait quite a while before we were acknowledged since there were only two people serving. We have a rule that we wait 5 minutes and if not approached we leave - there are always other good restaurants looking for our business. Once acknowledged we were told that they were short staffed and with only one person in the kitchen our wait would be long. Not an encouraging welcome. Still we persevered!I suggested that we would leave and try again another time - but only with a reservation. With that the tone changed and we were seated right away and the service began.We had a great time! Suzanne - the owner is a wonderful woman under that scary exterior. Don't let her intimidate you...take time to get to know her and then you will experience a great meal, wonderful wine, good music and a charming hostess. We will be back.

Head waitress is amazing. She served the whole restaurant and with a smile. Very courteous and in the ball. Very happy with her service. The owner made an amazing decision to have this waitress. Pleased with service. Your are amazing at your job. Food was amazing as well. Would highly recommend.

I’m only giving 3 stars and that’s for the food that was really good, the cheese fondue, the Chinese one were very tasty, chocolate one was wayyyyy too small.Service omg i don’t even know how to describe something that is awfully slow, the owner throw our towels on our laps like we were 2 years old, she even shhh me while I tried to ask about the menu and telling me it’s not her training day??? She kept slapping my arms while explaining the cooking time!!! And after leaving she ran after us group of 4 telling us that SHE deserved a better tip…. WoW I won’t go there for sure… too bad because the fondue was good

Restaurant La Fondue Du Prince
Returning after 17 years to find the same heartwarming owner caring directly for all of her guests was a lovely experience. Go here when you have time to take a breath, a delicious bit of cheese fondue, savour the tender lamb (or shrimp!), and finish with the chocolate strawberries in the company of a loved one. A great little secret of Sainte Anne.

One of our family's favourite restaurants. We are Swiss, and good fondue is hard to come by. Suzanne and her husband do it all. Always a pleasant experience and the food is second to none. Highly recommend!

Restaurant La Fondue Du Prince
Overall this restaurant was very enjoyable. Wenhad a table by the window facing the water, a beautiful view. Cheese fondue was amazing. Plenty of meat which was surprising and appreciated. The only complaints we had were the Caesar salad, and dessert. Collectively we didn’t care for the salad. It was nice and creamy but didn’t care for the lettuce or dressing. The dessert fondue just needed more to it. We were out of chocolate very quickly. Other than that, overall it was a nice experience.

Come back every year for our anniversary. Love the atmosphere, love the view and love Suzanne (the owner). She talks to you and treats you like family. No pomp and circumstance. I made the mistake of calling her Ms. Suzanne and she quickly corrected me to just call her Suzanne.Found the prices to be very reasonable and food was top notch.Will continue to come back and will highly recommend it to others.This is one satisfied customer.

The cheese fondue was excellent, nice cheese flavor, with the perfect amount of cracked pepper.Chinese fondue- the beef was fresh, nice red color, sliced thinly but thicker than the frozen you buy at the grocery store so it didn't dry out when you cooked it. The chicken was breast cut into cubes that was very moist when cooked the appropriate amount of time.The little potatoes are to die for!! The only negative about the main course was the Cesar salad, made with iceberg rather than Romaine, serves with a lemon wedge and dried cranberries....lots of salt and pepper brought it somewhat to life, but there was no bacon flavor no croutons, and I have never had dried cranberries in a Cesar salad.The chocolate fondue, very tasty though not quite warm enough and I was expecting perhaps more fruit or more if a variety...6 little banana slices, 4 half strawberries and 2 very small clementine pieces. Tasty but left us wanting more.fruit and less bananas.Overall, it was a good experience. The meal came out to $102 for.2 table devoted and a glass of wine.

This restaurant has been in business for quite some time. Given some of the more favourable reviews we decided to celebrate my wife’s birthday there last night. BIG mistake!! We were first welcomed by the owner/server/head operational manager in a very rude manner. Shown to our table and told with a high degree of attitude what the procedure was and what to expect . It’s a fondue restaurant , not very complicated ! The owner(Suzanne) came back later and again was extremely rude on reviewing the menu option. Had it not been for my wife’s birthday, we would have walked out! The evening continued in the same way. Each interaction was the same. With this absolutely astonishing behaviour it’s a wonder they are still in business. Oh the food was good but the portions were small for the price. Not recommending this one at all unless your looking to get a real tongue lashing! Keep you money. There are better restaurants in Ste. Anne’s.
