Nice place. The service was excellent, just like the food. The salmon is very good with the sauce it comes with. Presentation is great too.

Let's state it from the beginning- you come here for enjoying the French cuisine not for stuffing your belly with a huge steak and potatoes. It's nice and cozy, there is free parking available, accessible (close to 13th highway in St. Eustache) and overall, a bit overpriced. On a 1 to 10 scale, I'll give an 8 for the ambiance, a 7 for environment / decorations, a 9 for staff courtesy and an 8 for food / chef skills.Worth giving a try, you may like it and come again...

Excellent food and service. We enjoyed absolutely everything we ate. The one star I removed was a personal preference for ambiance. The decor and music was a little too dated for my own personal preferences but I can see where this would be a cozy, nostalgic night out for a more mature crowd. Despite Elvis and his peers playing in the background we had a fantastic dinner. Thank you!

Seems to cater mainly to blue collar clientele. Menu was varied but lacks finesse and elegance usually found in true French restaurants.Prices were somewhat reasonable. We ordered the filet mignon and both plates came up very well-done though we asked for medium-rare (filet mignon is ruined once it’s cooked longer than medium).

Great expérience at l'Impressionniste . The staff is super friendly and they seem to know almost everyone that came in. The seats are a little too close together so you hear other people's conversations. We were served water and a great little amuse bouche of warm brown crusty bread , homemade gerkins, a mousse de volaille that was to be honest insanely good. We chose the foie gras tasting menu with the accompanying wine. The food was pretty damn good, the lamb sweetbreads are old school and beautiful, the torchon de foie Gras with crusty bread and salted caramel sauce and compote was excellent. The wine are underflavored and they seem to have been opened a long time before service. But maybe my taste buds were little off. The main of beef with pan seared foie was good but I asked for medium rare and got medium. The foie seemed to be a bit too overcooked but still delicious. The red wine served was earthy , but overly sweet, a syrah if I remember correctly. They very nicely gave me a free glass of it though after I finished the first glass. So no complaints there. The tart tatin was very good and the cider served with it was great. All in all a great place to go. A little overpriced, and needs a bit of a face-lift. But the staff is amazing and the food was really good. Not blow your mind good but pretty good. Definetly a good place that I will try again. FYI we were there 3 hours , they don t rush you out the place which is awesome. They do this in France. So you aren t rushed.
