My coach was great, very knowledgeable and genuinely wanted to help me improve my golf game. I would gladly work with him outside of the company if that were possible and golf with him on weekends. The customer service side of things is not as great. I paid a lot of money and even bought clubs through them instead of going somewhere else and the service I received in return was sub par. The swing monitors only worked half the time if I was able to get in at all for lessons or even practice. They seem to only want your money and as soon as they have it they move on to getting other peoples money and leave you behind, even if you still have lesson credits/fitting credits

The staff are friendly professional and very accommodating even in these tough times. Sean Lancaster works with me and has been amazing to work with, highly recommend to anyone wanting to not only learn but improve their game always go home with tips and techniques to work on. Have the video of practice to review, and techniques to work on in between practices. Could not ask for a better learning environment. Quite often even text and talk off hours with reminders of things to work on if we are not scheduled to see each other due to my travel or work he still keeps in touch, always encouraging! Want to improve and get your game a bit more consistent with more confidence this is a great place to do that!

Best golf instruction and coaching I've had. Was ready to give the game up. My personal coach, Joel, has been super effective and patient. Golftec is AWESOME! Let me tell you why:I showed up at Golftec approximately 6 months ago as a 20 handicap golfer with a desire to lower my handicap by 10 strokes. I thought I was fairly educated in swing mechanics and what I thought my swing looked like. Even though I had never really seen myself swing, it felt “good” so I thought it must look good as well. I decided to sign up for Golftec’s swing evaluation to get some quick pointers and start my rapid ascension to obtaining my PGA Tour Card.Upon watching the video of my swing evaluation, I was shocked to see that I was “swinging” at the ball like a Voyageur trying to cut down trees for a canoe…no, no it can’t be…I’m a HACKER!! Once I had gotten over the initial shock that my swing looked like something out of a Stephen King Novel. Troy (my future coach) and I started to review my swing and dissect it.He compared my swing to a PGA Tour Professional’s swing and broke it down using pictures, videos and data gathered using sensors that I was wearing during the swing evaluation. Using all of the gathered information we began coming up with a game-plan to improve my swing mechanics and consequently my scores. After seeing all of the mistakes that I was unknowingly making and not knowing how to fix them, I immediately signed up for a lesson package.So, since signing up for a lesson package at Golftec, my distance, accuracy and consistency have all drastically improved. I can honestly say I have improved more in the last 6 months than I have in the previous 10 years (which does include some lessons)! I don’t look like I’m cutting down trees anymore and my swing is starting to look eerily like something you would see on the Tour, not in a horror movie.So how is it possible to get that much better at golf in such a short amount of time? Here’s how:Metrics:During each lesson your coach places sensors between your shoulder blades and on the small of your back. These sensors gather data on how your body is moving throughout the various stages of your swing (takeaway, backswing, downswing, impact, release and finish). The data produced by your swing is compared to data gathered on PGA Professionals. Subsequently, the data gives you a clear indication of the mechanics of your swing and the resultant club path and ball flight. This makes it easy to identify areas where improvement is required and improvement is literally measurable.Game-plan:After every lesson Troy and I come up with a game-plan on what I am going to work on until my next lesson. This keeps me focused on my realistic achievable goals.Video Replay:After every swing I take I can review my swing in slow motion which allows you to see the difference between a swing that feels good and one that is mechanically correct and will produce a consistent ball flight.Practice:All the practice you can handle with video replay of every swing…what more can you ask for?Awesome Coaches:Yes you heard me, the golf pro who that you decide to work with IS your coach. They are not just guys who are giving you some pointers for some easy money. They genuinely want you to succeed and get better at golf.All of the coaches are extremely respectful, patient and genuinely friendly individuals.I could go on forever, in summary, if you are learning how to swing the club for the first time or you are a seasoned golfer who is looking to refine your swing…Golftec is for you. I guarantee you will learn something and want to come back for more.

After years of getting lessons that didn't improve my game from instructors who couldn't be bothered, I nervously entered Golftec and asked what they were all about. Since that time a year ago, I've picked up 2 clubs in distance, become much more consistent in my ball striking and am shooting the best scores of my life. Seriously the best decision I have made for my game. shooting in the high 90's to shooting a 79 in one year... never thought it would happen so quickly. Great tech, instructors, and all the practice time I can handle. Thanks guys.

I had always wanted to try a GolfTEC lesson program and finally pulled the trigger this winter. My coach (Colwyn Abgrall) started with a detailed swing evaluation and over the next 3 months, helped evolve my swing. I have a more consistent draw pattern with all my clubs and added distance (especially my driver). Colwyn knows his craft and was able to simplify the concepts and leverage the visual/virtual technology. I found it very beneficial to see my swing path and shoulder/hip turn on the monitors (and in slow motion) as I made the adjustments over the period. Colwyn is not only an expert but he is a true golf enthusiast. I have to say, all the staff at the Winnipeg Pembina Hwy location are very professional, friendly and service oriented.

If you want to improve your golf game, this is the place to go.I've been playing golf for over 15 years and never took a lesson. After all that time, I decided it was time to step up my game. I booked a swing evaluation, and after seeing what the team at Golftec can offer, I knew I was in the right place.The technology, tools, and services exceeded my expectations. Thanks to an incredible coach (Joel Rhodes), I continually see progress in my swings . I constantly learn new things about myself and the game of golf. I look forward to every practice session and lesson, and cant wait to apply what I learned on the course!

Golftec Winnipeg has been hugely beneficial to my golf game. Not only do they explain what you need to do but they also educate you on why you need to do it. Once you learn why the ball is going in the direction it is, it's much easier to apply the concepts they teach you to correct it.My lessons have been with Mike Marion who was able to change my ball flight form a wipe fade to a draw in 1 month. I gained a club in length while at the same time making my swing shorter and more consistent.The motion measurement device and video is a huge plus. All three pros are willing and able to help with any questions that come up during your practice time. In a winter city like Winnipeg, having a facility to work on your game with a launch monitor and video is like gold and I would encourage anyone interesting in improving their game to go to Golftec.Mike

If you are looking to take your golf game to the next level then I would highly recommend getting lessons at Golftec. My coach Colwyn Abgrall (former Manitoba mens amateur champion) has been awesome at identifying the flaws in my swing as well as how to correct those flaws. The facility is awesome and staff are very friendly. I think golfers of all skill levels would see noticeable improvements in their golf game after getting lessons here and I can't wait to take my new and improved golf swing to the course this summer! 5/5

I signed up for golf lessons at GolfTec with Joel Rhodes. Fantastic instructor! Helped me with my game taking me from a 27 handicap to a 14 in one year. Can't give this organization a high enough rating! Highly recommend if you are looking at improving your game.
