TJ King Karaoke

Open late, reasonable prices, lots of fun. We ended up with a controller that wasnt in English, but managed ok! Lol If you've never been, its private karaoke for just you and your friends. Perfect if you love to sing but not in front of strangers!!!

Awesome place for Karaoke with friends! I didn't even know karaoke with private rooms was a thing. I came by after an improv workshop with like 10 people and it was so good! Everyone singing together, dancing, having a great time!It seems more cozy and intimate in a room with friends as opposed to a bar with a bunch of strangers half-watching. Theres also alcohol and food here if that interests you. Would recommend checking this place out if you and a few friends want to hang and sing your hearts out. :)

Me and 3 of my friends love coming here from time to time. We take our karaoke-ing serious. A couple of things to improve; a better selection of more current popular songs and a binder that is strictly English only that could be organized by artist name as well. I know that probably will take a while but your English speaking customers will appreciate it greatly.

Not sure how to explain this place. The gentleman working was friendly enough and quickly showed us how to operate the machine. We had a lot of fun but it makes you wonder what else goes on when the place smells overwhelmingly like bleach and as soon as our time was up, there was more bleach on the way.

The owner is simply a sweet old guy. He typically gives 10 minutes extra for large groups. The place has a wide English selection. The interface isn't a lavish UI like the new places with iPads, but as long as you know to queue, cancel and select you should be fine.

Staff was quite rude, and unhelpful, handing our group a ripped and torn binder of songs almost exclusively unusable. The karaoke device itself is also entirely unusable, with no ability to stop or change songs. Entering the number associated with a song we did pick would simply not work either, so our whole group paid to just listen to Korean songs effectively.

Was extremely disappointed in the service we received at TJ King Karaoke. Initially, we had purchased an hour, and later decided to upgrade with an additional hour. The individual working refused to give us the additional hour that we had paid for. Stating that we did not pay. To top it off, it was in an extremely rude and abrupt manner. Thank goodness for modern technology because we had to bring up physical receipts and mobile credit card transaction records to prove that we had actually paid. Advice to anyone visiting in the future, keep track of EVERYTHING you pay for. Request your receipts. Use a credit or debit card so that you have actual proof of payment. DO NOT expect good customer service here. Overall, extremely extremely dissatisfied and will not recommend this to anyone. Will never come back here.

This place was amazing! U get Ur own private room and that the staff explains how to work the system. It's simple and service there was great. All the newer songs are at the back of the book which staff did not tell us about. I recommend this place to a fun night.

I have been coming here for years now. I love going here. I have been here with family and friends. The staff are always looking out for us whether it's fixing a problem with the microphones or delivering food we ordered. There rooms are quite comfy. I like the lighting they have in some of the rooms. This place has a great idea in making private rooms to sing as I have had many people come with me who are afraid to do live karaoke, and they have just had a blast. The cheap price of $6 an hour is spectacular. The rooms are always clean. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a night out and looking for something different. I give this place an easy 15/10. Instead of doing you regular dinner and a movie or bowling or going to a bar. Try this place on King Street you will find you have an incredible evening filled with tons of laughs and memories. The food is good quality to. They are even open extreamly late until 3am for those who finish at the bar after last call. You can still make your way down and spend one more hour having some drinks and singing along to song. The music selection is maybe the only thing that is a little bit of a problem. For me it is great as I love older songs form the 80's and 90's but for those who are looking for newer songs, recently released songs, or songs that where not very main stream, there is not much selection

Fun time was had; the host was nice and the Soju is tasty, and the sound system is good. But the place has some flaws - small selection of English-language music on old, confusing machine, weak soundproofing between booths, and the mics were a bit flaky. Also for a large party the $6/hour/person seems a bit high when we're already paying for drinks.
