Overall seafood is very fresh and expensive. The Japanese Uni is a bit too fishy for us.The plating is well done and every detail is well-planned.

Don't go there. It's not Japanese restaurant. Its Chinese food disguise as Japanese food.Plus, very expensive or I can say overpriced. If you want good Japanese food , just go to downtown. You will get better food quality per price. Totally not worth it.Service was very bad, the waiters were very good at disturbing clients when they are eating. To conclude, even Japanese restaurant in Whitehorse Yukon is better then this piece of........worst experience ever.

Food is tasty but definitely on the pricey side. It's a nice treat for special occasion. The uni are fresh and there are many dishes with option to go with BC uni or Japanese uni. I would say the sashimi are fresh but on the tiny side in terms of portion. Staff is friendly and don't push you to get expensive items on the menu.

Fish is pretty fresh and staff friendly. Portion is also pretty good. Enough for 2 people. Sashimi and sushi combo + chirashi Don all in $163. Overall happy.

Finally got a chance to try this place. The pros - nice atmosphere, fun vibes and a great homage to Osaka. The fish selection was great and the presentation of the food was cute.Room for improvement - we had to wait 25 minutes for our table despite the fact that we had made reservations servers weeks prior. For the price of the food, I feel as if the food should have been a bit more elevated. The rice was cooked nicely, but the fish could have been sliced better and the rice to fish ratio was a bit off. Some of the flavouring combinations were interesting and Overall the flavours were there.I would definitely go back to try more.

Ignore the mediocre reviews: This is the BEST sushi I have had in Toronto (context: I am a big sushi person and have had sushi from many of the downtown sushi spots).I do not think there is anywhere in Toronto (outside of extremely expensive omakase spots) that has anywhere near the quality of the fish that this restaurant has (Oroshi would be a distant second). It is heads and shoulders above your average sushi spot in the city.I had seen this place on BlogTo and was immediately interested and was surprised to see the 3.9 rating. Upon deep digging into the ratings, I saw that most of the low ratings were due to price. Yes, this sushi spot is expensive vs. your average sushi spot. However, I think the VALUE for the fish you get is EXCEPTIONAL (if you are prepared to have a 'nice' dinner out). This place should not be compared to your average sushi spot as it is in a different league. If this restaurant was in downtown Toronto I would expect to pay 2-3x.What we got:- We ordered the $60 omakase tray which was 20-30 pieces of premium sashimi on a bed of rice. The fish was exceptionally delicious and this price for this much fish was AMAZING value.- We also got the $50 premium sushi set. While pricey for ~10 pieces of sushi, the sushi blew me away. I have never had such delicious nigiri.- The last dish we had was a $28 donburi bowl which was very tasty but we probably didn't need this much food. The service was amazing. Everyone was super friendly and the waiter help us navigate the menu (which is overwhelming in the best possible way). It was my birthday and they let my boyfriend BYO-cake and they lit the candles and brought it out to us.Overall: If you are looking to have a fancy, high quality sushi dinner this is absolutely the place to go and is worth the trip!

I cannot believe this place exists here because I was 100% blown away by the decore as well as the quality of food and service. It's like you walked into a whole different world. We ordered the Reiwa oysters and the uni oysters. It was so light, fresh and not at all fish. As someone who isn't super big on uni, I am super happy with how creamy and rich it taste. It wasn't overpowering it all.We also ordered the 18pc sashimi original and the kobe beef nabe. The sashimi was extremely fresh and to die for, but my ultimate favorite was the beef nabe soup. The broth was so rich but light. Every ingredient was put to good use and I savored all of it.Finally we had an AMAZING server, Ada, that made us feel really welcomed and explained everything clearly. I highly recommend this restaurant of you want to treat yourself and your party to some top tier sushi and Japanese food!!!!!

Decided to visit after seeing so much hype, and can confirm its mostly hype, the only thing special is the decor and vibe.Food are outrageously expensive, portions are super small compared to the prices they charge. Cooked food are all somehow salty, raw food are nothing special.Finger-long 10pcs yakitori for $78, must be joking. Spent $300 for 4 people and we were not even half fullPure hype and marketing

The decor of this restaurant is amazing, makes you feel like you were in Japan. Food was delicious and fresh. Service took awhile to come and get our order but besides that they were polite and professional. Highly recommend this place for sushi but a heads up it is on the pricey side.

A bit pricey but mostly worth it. The brown rice tea was tasty. The premium chirashi don was excellent except the shrimp - it wasn't cleaned so it tasted very unpleasant. Luckily the fermented ginger was a strong palate cleanser. The Kobe beef was absolutely delicious as well (apparently it's A5 grade) - would recommend! We ordered both items and split it between two of us. It was very filling and we had to take some of the Kobe beef to go.We made reservations and we didn't have to wait however the seating for two was disappointing. For a restaurant that is so expensive, one would expect that their seats would be more comfortable for their customers and not uncomfortable folding chairs. Definitely recommend asking for a table when making reservations.
